The dress rehearsal included a coordinated welcoming flight by 14 air force aircraft (7 Su30-MK2 fighters, 7 helicopters), over 2,200 special forces officers and soldiers performing martial arts, and 80 military dogs along with 80 trainers from the Border Guard.

On behalf of the Ministry of National Defence leadership, General Phan Van Giang thanked and commended the forces participating in the dress rehearsal for the Vietnam International Defence Exhibition 2024.

It affirms that the pilots flying Su30-MK2 fighter jets and Mi helicopters are heroic pilots, demonstrating the strength of the Vietnamese Army to the world .

"A half-hour flight, a half-day flight, or a flight crew—all of these are flights around the world, not just for Vietnam. The actions of each officer and soldier represent the Vietnamese nation with over 4,000 years of history, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day," General Phan Van Giang emphasized.

"This is our strength, this is our determination to fight and win. We affirm to the world that the Vietnam People's Army is a fighting force, a labor and production force, and also a force in the field of defense industry development, to achieve self-reliance, self-strength, self-defense, dual-use, and modernization," General Phan Van Giang urged.

General Phan Van Giang also affirmed that the images of the forces at the exhibition would be disseminated worldwide and would be a celebration truly showcasing the strength, unity, and solidarity of the Vietnamese Army.

Following the opening ceremony with activities by Party and State leaders and international delegations, the exhibition will be open to the public free of charge from 1:30 PM on December 21st until the end of December 22nd.
