Throughout its history, the Vietnam People's Army has achieved countless feats. From the Dien Bien Phu Victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world" to the great victory in the spring of 1975, unifying the country. Entering the period of national construction and defense, the Army has always successfully completed all tasks assigned by the Party, State and people; constantly strengthened politically, standardized, elite and gradually modernized; trained in discipline, combat readiness, not to be passive or surprised in any situation in the process of building and defending the socialist Vietnam Fatherland, contributing to protecting peace, stability and development in the region and the world, worthy of the name "Heroic Vietnam People's Army". To achieve that success, it is thanks to the great contributions of former leaders of the Party, State and Army in ensuring the realization of the Party's strategic decisions, bringing our nation's resistance to complete victory, reunifying the country as well as in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
