Temporarily detained pickup truck carrying 4 car tires suspected of being stolen property

The Traffic Police of Dak Lak Province have just discovered and handed over a case of a pickup truck carrying 4 car tires without documents proving their origin, suspected of being involved in property theft.

Information said, at 9:20 a.m., October 20, 2025, at Km 1790 Ho Chi Minh road (section through village 3, Hoa Phu commune), the Traffic Police Team of Road Traffic Police Team No. 1, while performing patrol and control duties, stopped a pickup truck with license plate 51D-880.61 for administrative inspection.

During the inspection, the authorities discovered 4 car tires behind the pickup truck. The driver was identified as Mr. Doan Ngoc Kh. (born 2003, residing in Trang Bom commune, Dong Nai province). At the time of the inspection, Mr. Kh. could not present any documents proving the legal origin of the 4 car tires mentioned above. Because the property showed signs of suspicion related to the property theft, the Traffic Police Team conducted an initial inspection and did not check other properties inside the car to keep the scene intact.

Through initial investigation, Mr. Kh. confessed that he bought the above 4 tires on the evening of October 19, 2025 from a man in Phuoc An town, Krong Pac district (old), now Krong Pac commune, for a total amount of 18.5 million VND.

The Traffic Police Team has handed over the case to Tan An Ward Police, Dak Lak Provincial Police for further verification and handling according to the provisions of law.
