According to the information, at 9:20 AM on October 20, 2025, at Km 1790 of the Ho Chi Minh Highway (the section passing through Hamlet 3, Hoa Phu Commune), a traffic police team from Road Traffic Police Team No. 1, while on patrol duty, stopped a pickup truck with license plate 51D-880.61 for administrative inspection.

During the inspection, authorities discovered four car tires in the back of the pickup truck. The driver was identified as Mr. Doan Ngoc Kh. (born in 2003, residing in Trang Bom commune, Dong Nai province). At the time of the inspection, Mr. Kh. could not present any documents proving the legal origin of the four car tires. Due to the suspicious nature of the items, which were linked to a theft case, the traffic police team conducted an initial inspection and did not check other items inside the vehicle in order to preserve the scene.
During initial questioning, Mr. Kh. confessed to purchasing the four tires on the evening of October 19, 2025, from a man in Phuoc An town, Krong Pac district (formerly), now Krong Pac commune, for a total of 18.5 million VND.
The traffic police team handed the case over to the Tan An Ward Police Station, Dak Lak Provincial Police, for further verification and handling in accordance with the law.
