To ensure absolute safety for people and vehicles when participating in traffic on the routes from Lao Cai to Dien Bien Phu during the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the provincial traffic police force mobilized 100% of its personnel to organize patrols, control, and strictly handle violations of traffic order and safety.

On the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the provincial traffic police force forecasts that the number of vehicles of people and tourists traveling on National Highway 4D, National Highway 279 and Provincial Road 155 to Dien Bien city and vice versa will increase.

To ensure order and traffic safety, the provincial traffic police force has developed a plan, increased patrols and controls, and proactively taken measures to resolve situations that arise. Special attention is paid to issues arising at checkpoints, handling violations publicly in accordance with legal regulations; thoroughly educating officers and soldiers to strictly follow work procedures, etiquette, and cultural behavior in contacting and handling work with the people, creating a good image of the traffic police force with people and tourists from all over the world.

Accordingly, the traffic police force of the Provincial Police mobilized 100% of its personnel, organized patrols, controls, and strictly handled violations of traffic order and safety. Propaganda for people to voluntarily comply with the provisions of the law; be on duty 24/7 on National Highway 4D, National Highway 279, Provincial Road 155 to promptly support people in handling arising situations, following the motto "When people need traffic police, when people have difficulty, there are traffic police".

Traffic police coordinated with relevant units to clear fallen trees and ensure smooth traffic.

It is known that from May 4 to 8, the provincial traffic police force coordinated with the police of districts, towns and cities to establish 12 working groups, with 56 comrades to carry out patrolling, controlling and closing 24/24 hours on National Highway 279, National Highway 4D and Provincial Road 155.

Accordingly, the traffic police force conducts public patrols and controls; mobile patrols and controls combined with one-point controls. Establishes public control and violation handling areas, closing the assigned route 24/7. Directs the Traffic Police - Order Team, Sa Pa Town Police to arrange mobile patrols and controls combined with one-point controls to ensure order and traffic safety, and handle violations on the National Highway 4D bypass routes (Provincial Road 155 from km47+100 to km55+700).

Focus on handling violations of traffic participants, such as: Driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs; speeding, driving in the wrong lane; avoiding, overtaking, stopping, or parking in violation of regulations; vehicles with extended cargo beds, overloaded or oversized cargo, or exceeding the prescribed number of people; picking up or dropping off passengers at the wrong place; not obeying traffic signals; not having a driver's license or an invalid driver's license; vehicles that have expired or are past their inspection period...

Along with patrolling, controlling and handling violations on traffic routes, the traffic police force in the province has strengthened propaganda, safety warnings, and organized traffic diversion to ensure that people and tourists travel smoothly and safely. Proactively grasp and forecast unsafe situations that may occur such as heavy rain, thunder, fallen trees, landslides, fog, etc. to promptly remind and guide traffic, and prevent traffic jams. The rain on the night of May 4 and 5 caused landslides, fallen trees and dense fog on traffic routes in the province. This directly affected traffic participants, potentially posing a risk to traffic safety. Faced with this reality, traffic police officers and soldiers of the provincial Public Security Department coordinated with relevant agencies, units and localities to inspect and clear rocks, fallen trees to ensure smooth traffic, helping people and tourists to move smoothly and safely.
