Implementing the direction of the Steering Committee for the 2025 Provincial High School Graduation Exam, the Health sector has proactively issued documents and developed plans to serve the exam in accordance with the principles of timeliness, economy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations. The Department of Health assigned provincial hospitals and medical centers in districts and cities to proactively use medicines, supplies, and equipment according to the "4 on-site" motto.
At each examination site, a medical staff is assigned to carry out disease prevention and control, ensure food safety and provide first aid to candidates, staff and teachers participating in the examination. Provincial General Hospitals and provincial hospitals, district and city medical centers have established external emergency teams consisting of experienced resuscitation specialists, nurses and have specialized vehicles ready to promptly support at the examination site in the shortest time when requested.
The medical team directly participating in the mobile emergency team has been informed about specific situations and measures to handle when encountering candidates with psychological disorders, stress due to exam pressure or prolonged hot weather. Provincial hospitals have prepared enough medicine and hospital beds, developed plans for triage, admission and quick treatment in cases requiring mass emergency hospitalization or participated in supporting lower-level hospitals when candidates or exam invigilators need intensive medical care.
In parallel with emergency work, the health sector has strengthened environmental sanitation monitoring, disease prevention and control, especially infectious diseases such as dengue fever, seasonal flu, Covid-19 and diseases transmitted through the digestive tract. Before and during the exam, units have disinfected the exam area, ensuring the water supply and drainage system, clean toilets, adequate lighting and ventilation.
To prevent the risk of food poisoning, district and city health centers closely coordinate with local authorities and grassroots health forces to inspect and monitor collective kitchens and facilities providing meals for exam sites, collect samples for testing and store food samples according to regulations. At the same time, parents and students are advised to choose food with clear origin and hygiene.
At the Van Quan High School exam site (Lap Thach), the Van Quan Commune Health Station assigned experienced medical staff to be on duty at the exam site. Nurse Nguyen Thi Minh Hong, an officer of the Van Quan Commune Health Station assigned to work at the exam site, said: "In carrying out the assigned tasks, I always uphold my sense of responsibility, closely monitoring the health of candidates and staff and teachers participating in the exam site.
The medical room of the examination site is fully equipped with medicines and basic medical equipment such as blood pressure monitors, thermometers, antiseptic solutions and necessary medical supplies. Before the exam day, the entire campus of the examination site was sanitized to ensure epidemic prevention and control. Food safety for candidates, staff and teachers is emphasized. Drinking water systems and toilets are thoroughly inspected before the exam takes place."
Teacher Nguyen Ngoc Long, Deputy Head of Dong Dau High School Examination Site (Yen Lac) said: "Dong Dau High School Examination Site has 650 candidates registered to take the exam. In order to ensure medical work for the exam, the staff and teachers on duty at the exam have coordinated with the medical staff to propagate and guide candidates and their families to take measures to prevent heatstroke, dehydration, ensure food safety, develop a reasonable eating and resting plan, maintain an optimistic spirit, and be in the best health to attend the exam. 100% of the exam supervisors and medical staff at the exam site have been trained and equipped with skills to promptly handle situations where candidates or staff and teachers suffer from heat shock, low blood pressure, or minor injuries during the exam."
With careful preparation, thoughtfulness, and a high sense of responsibility, authorities at all levels and the health sector are determined to closely and synchronously coordinate to ensure the best health care conditions for candidates, officials, and teachers, contributing to ensuring that the 2025 high school graduation exam takes place safely, smoothly, and promises to achieve high results.
