Local authorities are developing plans to prepare goods for Tet (Lunar New Year).

According to the People's Committee of Tran Bien Ward, the ward currently has a relatively diverse goods distribution system, including 10 traditional markets with more than 1,200 business households and convenience store chains such as WinMart+, Bach Hoa Xanh, GS25, Co.op Food, MM Mega Market Bien Hoa, etc.
During the peak Tet holiday season, Tran Bien ward implemented a supply-demand balancing program for 13 product groups, adding confectionery and fuel to the list compared to normal days. The value and volume structure of each product group were clearly detailed. Businesses and production and trading establishments proactively developed plans to increase their inventory by 5-15% compared to normal days to meet the increased shopping demand.
Similarly, according to a report from the Department of Economy , Infrastructure and Urban Development of Binh Phuoc Ward, the locality has mobilized 7 production and business establishments to register to supply essential goods, committing to coordinating market stabilization, contributing to ensuring a balance between supply and demand of goods during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 and supporting disaster and disease prevention and control efforts in the ward. The total value of goods registered for supply is estimated at over 11.5 billion VND, including essential goods serving production and the lives of the people.
Deputy Head of the Trade Management Department (Department of Industry and Trade) Dang Tran Nhat Thoai shared: Through surveying the preparations for Tet (Lunar New Year) in localities and businesses, the Department of Industry and Trade has noted the proposals and recommendations from localities and businesses regarding the preparation and balancing of supply and demand for essential goods during the upcoming Tet holiday. The Department of Industry and Trade calls on production and business units to participate in supplying essential goods during Tet to proactively secure supply, stabilize prices, and promptly adjust in necessary situations. Businesses proactively take measures to stabilize prices.
Many large food supply and retail businesses in the province have stated that they will proactively plan to stockpile goods, implement plans to ensure sufficient supply for the peak period leading up to Tet, and adjust the supply of essential goods when necessary.
According to Bui Phan Quoc Viet, Deputy General Director of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company (Long Hung Ward): "During the peak Tet market season, the company will focus on supplying goods to the market in Dong Nai province. The amount of pork, chicken, and poultry eggs to serve the upcoming Tet peak season is being stockpiled at a level equivalent to the same period last year. The company currently has 22 Fresh Mart and Fresh Pork stores in Dong Nai. From the 25th day of the 12th lunar month, the company will maintain a stable supply of goods, ensuring price stability for essential items such as pork, chicken, and poultry eggs at these stores during the peak market season leading up to Tet."
A representative from Petrolimex Dong Nai Co., Ltd. (Tran Bien Ward) stated: Currently, the company has 61 affiliated stores in Dong Nai province. The total storage capacity at these stores reaches 4,200 cubic meters of gasoline and diesel fuel. On average, the company currently supplies and sells 700 cubic meters of gasoline and diesel fuel per day, with gasoline accounting for approximately 40% and diesel fuel 60%. Regarding the supply and service situation for customers during the upcoming Tet holiday peak season, the company has developed a plan for reserves, increased personnel, and a plan for regulating gasoline and diesel fuel to ensure supply.
Deputy Head of the Economic and Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Vu Manh Tien, suggested that businesses and localities should focus on implementing price stabilization and price listing activities, especially for essential goods; and proactively implement plans to allocate and increase personnel and regulate goods supply when necessary during the upcoming Tet holiday.
