The Party Committee of Military Region 3 issued a Resolution to lead the implementation of tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.

On the morning of July 12, in Hai Phong City, the Party Committee of Military Region 3 held the 9th Conference (Term IX) for the first 6 months of 2024, issuing a Resolution to lead the implementation of tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Cuong, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 3 chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Commander of Military Region 3; comrades who are members of the Party Central Committee, alternate members of the Party Central Committee, Secretaries of Provincial and Municipal Party Committees in the Military Region and comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Party Committee members of the Military Region. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Ky, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Secretary of the Military Party Committee of Quang Ninh province attended the conference.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Cuong, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 3 chaired the conference.

In the first 6 months of 2024, the Party Committee and the Military Region 3 Command have led and directed agencies and units to strictly maintain discipline and duty regimes, review, adjust, supplement plans, and practice combat readiness plans. At the same time, complete the selection and call-up of citizens to join the army to ensure good targets and quality; direct local military agencies to advise local Party committees and authorities to invest more than 224 billion VND of the local budget to build 41 military works in defense areas; strictly implement the Decision to merge logistics and technical agencies of units, and reorganize a number of units under the Provincial and Municipal Military Commands.

Along with that, the Party Committee and the Military Region 3 Command also directed to focus on innovation in content, programs, organization and training methods for subjects, especially training new soldiers, improving training quality; organizing and participating in competitions and sports events with many high achievements; directing units to organize the Emulation Congress for Victory at the grassroots level and directly at the grassroots level for the period 2019-2024 with good quality.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Ky, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Secretary of the Military Party Committee of Quang Ninh province spoke at the conference.

Concluding the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Cuong affirmed: To successfully carry out the tasks in the last 6 months of 2024, the Party Committee of Military Region 3 focuses on leading and directing agencies and units to strictly maintain combat readiness; grasp, forecast, and correctly assess the situation, promptly advise the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to successfully handle defense and security situations, avoid being passive and surprised, especially on the border, islands and key areas. Along with that, direct the preparation work to organize the Military Region 3 Emulation Congress for Victory in the period of 2019-2024; promote the implementation of the "Repaying gratitude" activity on the occasion of July 27 and organize practical activities towards the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22). Units also need to quickly organize the study, dissemination and implementation of directives, regulations and instructions from above on party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
