Young Party member Lo Thi Kuom follows Uncle Ho's teachings

Ms. Kuom shared: “Because of my passion for new economic development models in the agricultural sector, after graduating from the Northwest University of Education, while I had not yet found a job, I returned to my hometown and realized that many economic models, although not large in area, if planned well, could bring high economic efficiency. I discussed with my family, converting the entire area of ineffective coffee gardens to growing some fruit trees such as grapefruit, jackfruit, mango and dragon fruit. While working, I accumulated experience, and actively applied new farming methods, so all the fruit trees grew and developed stably.”

In addition to growing fruit trees, Ms. Kuom's family also built pig, cow, and poultry farms and over 1,500m2 of fish ^ponds . Instead of raising livestock in the traditional way, Ms. Lo Thi Kuom proactively participated in training courses and knowledge improvement on livestock farming organized by the Commune Farmers' Association. By choosing a suitable livestock farming method to directly apply the family model, the livestock herd has developed stably. Currently, Ms. Kuom's family's livestock farming area maintains nearly 10 sows, selling more than 1 ton of piglets to the market each year. The family farm economic model has grown steadily, bringing in an annual income of 130 - 150 million VND.

In 2021, comrade Kuom was honored to be in the ranks of the Party. Upholding the exemplary vanguard spirit of a Party member, together with other Party members in the cell, she also actively mobilized local people to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; well performing the obligations of citizens in residential areas; enthusiastically participating in movements launched by the locality, especially the new rural construction movement".
