In the 10th minute, the Thai women's futsal team took the lead thanks to Hataichanok. In this phase, Chinese goalkeeper Liu Danping blocked two consecutive shots from Arriya Saetoen and Jenjira Bubpha of Thailand. However, goalkeeper Liu Danping was helpless against Hataichanok Tappakun's rebound shot. Thailand opened the score 1-0.

After the aforementioned goal, the match continued to be very exciting. Within just a few dozen seconds in the 16th minute, China scored two goals, thereby leading Thailand 2-1. The scorers for the women's team of the billion-people country were Fan Yuqiu and Cao Jiayi respectively.

Trailing in the first half, Thailand increased their attack speed in the second half (in futsal, each half is 20 minutes, not counting the time the ball is out of play). In the 26th minute, the team from the Land of the Golden Temples scored an equalizer. The equalizer for Thailand was striker Jenjira Bubpha, from the penalty spot.

In the 32nd minute, Thailand scored their third goal. Ironically, the one who helped Thailand score the winning goal 3-2 for the Golden Temple team was Zhan Huimin, after an own goal.

Defeating the Chinese women's futsal team 3-2, the Thai women's futsal team won the right to enter the final of the Asian championship, and also won a ticket to the 2025 Futsal World Cup, held later this year in the Philippines.

As for the Chinese team, they still have one more chance to get a ticket to the World Cup, which is to try to win the third-place match, which will take place on May 17. China's opponent in the third-place match will be the losing team in the semi-final match between Japan and Iran, which will take place tonight (May 15).
