"Awakening" the investment potential of Quang Ngai

According to the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, in 2023, the province will focus on attracting quality investment projects according to the list of key investment attraction projects for the period 2021 - 2025. Accordingly, the focus and top priority is still the industrial sector, followed by services, tourism, trade, infrastructure, transportation, environment, urban areas, and residential areas.

Open door to investment

In the industrial sector, Quang Ngai will attract investment in a number of project groups, including: textile, garment, and footwear production; food and beverage processing; large-scale mechanical equipment manufacturing, metal production, and steel processing; downstream steel product manufacturing; production of civil electricity, multi-purpose electrical equipment and materials, electronics; supporting industries, and logistics. These project groups are proposed by investors, with 100% of their capital. To attract these projects, Quang Ngai has allocated about 1,600 hectares of land in Dung Quat Economic Zone (EZ) and Tinh Phong Industrial Park (IP).

In the field of services, tourism and trade, Quang Ngai aims to attract investment in 6 projects, including: An Vinh service - tourism area, area of ​​20 hectares; Dong Ho service - tourism area of ​​20 hectares in Ly Son island district; Quang Ngai City Central Park Project, Tinh Khe commune (Quang Ngai city) 150 hectares; Thach Bich eco-tourism area 200 hectares; Ca Dam eco-tourism area 1,286 hectares, of which the area for construction investment is about 300 hectares, the forest planning area to create a landscape belt for the tourist area is about 986 hectares; Tra Boi eco-tourism area, area of ​​40 - 50 hectares.

In the field of infrastructure, transportation, and environment, Quang Ngai is calling for investment in two projects: Duc Pho Town Solid Waste Treatment Complex, area 7.95 ha; Nghia Ky People's Cemetery, Tu Nghia District. In addition, there are projects in the field of urban, service - residential areas, including Meyhomes Tinh Long Urban Area Project, Tinh Long Commune (Quang Ngai City) with an area of ​​80 - 100 ha, proposed by Tan A Dai Thanh Group for investment and planning sponsorship; Ngoc Island Urban Area Project, Truong Quang Trong Ward (Quang Ngai City), area 187 ha, has been approved for detailed planning 1/500, and is carrying out procedures for selecting investors.

In addition, the province also promotes investment attraction in worker housing projects, commercial housing; tourism, urban and resort investment in Binh Son, Son Tinh districts and Quang Ngai city...

The province will prioritize promoting foreign investment in traditional markets such as Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan (China); At the same time, it will step up investment promotion activities in countries with modern industries to meet the needs of promoting the province's socio-economic development in a modern and sustainable direction.

The locality always accompanies businesses, promptly removes obstacles, and builds Quang Ngai into an attractive and equal destination for investors.

According to the Quang Ngai Investment Promotion Center, the province offers many incentives to high-tech projects, high-tech supporting industrial products, research and development activities, production of products formed from scientific and technological results; production of new materials, new energy, clean energy, renewable energy; production of products with added value of 30% or more, energy-saving products. In addition, there are key projects in the production of electronics, mechanics, agricultural machinery, automobiles, auto parts; shipbuilding; production of products in the list of priority supporting industrial products for development; information technology products, software, digital content, etc.

Investors coming to Quang Ngai will be supported in developing technical infrastructure and social infrastructure; training and developing human resources; credit support; support in accessing production and business premises; support in science, technology, technology transfer; market development, information provision, etc.

Not only that, the Province continues to synchronously implement many administrative reform solutions, improve the investment environment, and aim to build a government that "serves businesses".

Mr. Dang Van Minh, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Quang Ngai always listens and promptly grasps the concerns of businesses and investors coming to the locality, especially issues related to support from leaders at all levels and sectors; administrative procedures related to investment, production and business activities; infrastructure system and types of business support services; quality of human resources; open and equal competitive environment between businesses and economic sectors, etc.

Opportunity to introduce Quang Ngai to the world

The conference “Introducing Quang Ngai” - the largest foreign affairs event of Quang Ngai province in 2023 will be held in Hanoi on October 25, expected to open up cooperation opportunities between the province and diplomatic agencies, organizations, and businesses at home and abroad.

This is also the first time that the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have coordinated to organize a large-scale foreign affairs event to promote and introduce the province to foreign partners.

The conference is expected to be attended by more than 400 delegates, including leaders of central and local ministries, agencies, international trade agencies and organizations; economic experts, businessmen, investors... domestically and internationally. Leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will attend and deliver the opening speech at the conference.

The conference focused on introducing investment opportunities in Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks, agriculture, tourism; potential for cooperation in developing the construction of a national oil refinery and energy center, and Ly Son island tourism center...

At the same time, strengthen ODA and NGO aid mobilization for diplomatic agencies, international organizations, associations, and foreign enterprises operating in Vietnam.

According to Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Vo Phien, through a series of activities at the Conference, it contributed to conveying the message that Quang Ngai wishes to strengthen international cooperation in all fields.

On the sidelines of the Conference, there is also a "Quang Ngai Space" to display booths, exhibitions, introduce some outstanding fields of the province and cooperation opportunities in Quang Ngai.

Within the framework of the Conference, there will be a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Department of Planning and Investment of Quang Ngai province and the Hong Kong Business Association (China) in Vietnam; a bilateral meeting between the leaders of Quang Ngai province and delegates.

On this occasion, there were also meetings with Ambassadors of various countries by Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh and a Seminar on Investment Cooperation Opportunities in Quang Ngai Province chaired by Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Vo Phien.
