Search scene for Bell 505 helicopter crashed in Hai Phong sea.
According to the report of the Hai Phong City Military Command, at 5:00 p.m. on March 5, in the sea area of Gia Luan commune, Cat Hai district, a Bell-505 helicopter, registration number VN-8650 of the Northern Helicopter Company (under the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation, Corps 18 of the Ministry of National Defense ) was found in an accident.
Initially it was determined that there were 5 people on the plane. Specifically:
1. Mr. Chu Quang Minh (born 1964), pilot.
2. Mr. Ho Ta Luc (born in 1964), residing in Da Nang city.
3. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoi (born in 1963), residing in Da Nang city.
4. Ms. Ho Thi Oanh (born in 1962), residing in Da Nang city.
5. Ms. Pham Thi Be (born in 1958), residing in Da Nang city.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Hai Phong City Military Command reported to the City People's Committee, the Military Region Command and the Department of Search and Rescue/General Staff, and sent a working group led by the Deputy Commander - Chief of Staff of the City Military Command, along with agencies and 11 ships and boats of the Border Guard, Military, Police and people's ships to the scene for rescue.
According to the report of the Department of Search and Rescue/General Staff, this unit mobilized 14 vehicles (Hai Phong Border Guard 4 boats, Quang Ninh Border Guard 5 boats, Quang Ninh Port Authority 1 boat, 3 fishing boats and 1 SAR 411 ship) and 34 officers and soldiers to participate in the search and rescue work of the Bell-505 helicopter crash in Hon Net area, Cat Ba district, Hai Phong city.
The next forces are mobilizing to the scene including 1 ship, 2 boats and 2 diving teams of the Navy.
Also according to the Rescue Department, Vietnam People's Army, by 9:00 p.m. on April 5, 2 bodies and some debris of the plane were recovered at the edge of Hon Net island (coordinates 20051'51.2''N - 107001'13.4''E).
Previously, the Bell-505 helicopter, number VN-8650 of the Northern Helicopter Company (under the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation, Army Corps 18) piloted by Colonel Chu Quang Minh, carrying 4 Vietnamese tourists to see Ha Long Bay, took off at 4:56 p.m. and lost contact at 5:15 p.m.
As soon as the plane lost signal, the Northern Helicopter Company coordinated with the Border Guard and local military forces to urgently search and rescue.
