Stork Island is recognized as a tourist area by Hai Duong.

From the beginning of the year to June 10, Stork Island welcomed over 25,000 visitors.

Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee requests Thanh Mien District People's Committee and Chi Lang Nam Commune People's Committee to protect, preserve and develop tourism resources. Ensure environmental sanitation; create favorable conditions for tourists to visit. Ensure community participation in tourism activities; maintain security, order and social safety. Create favorable conditions for tourist transport vehicles; ensure safety for tourists.

Localities must promulgate regulations and rules for managing and exploiting tourist areas in accordance with regulations; develop explanatory content, promotional publications, and introduce local tourist attractions to promote the value of tourist areas.

According to the appraisal results, the national scenic relic of Co Island meets all conditions for cultural tourism resources, ecological tourism resources including ecosystems, natural landscapes; infrastructure, technical facilities; accommodation, food and beverage, and shopping establishments that meet standards to serve tourists. The relic meets the conditions for security, order, social safety, environmental protection, and has telecommunication connections to ensure safety for tourists...

In May 2024, the Management Board of Co Island Ecotourism Area established a tour guide team with 5 tour guides and 10 collaborators to promote the image of Co Island to be more diverse, spacious and rich for tourists.

Stork Island was recognized as a national scenic relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2014. Stork Island is a unique and rich ecosystem of flora and fauna with more than 170 species. In addition to storks and herons, the islands are also home to many other bird species such as kingfishers, kingfishers, cuckoos, and bulbuls.
