Peach and kumquat trees bloom to welcome Tet in Son La

On the days before Tet At Ty, when the warmth of spring is spreading throughout the villages and streets, the spring flower market of Son La city is also held, with many species of flowers converging, competing to spread their colors and fragrance. The image of people going to enjoy the flowers has created a highlight, becoming one of the indispensable "spices" every time Tet comes, spring returns.

Minh Thuy : Every year, when Tet comes, I usually spend time to see peach blossoms and kumquat trees, and also take some pictures as souvenirs.

Every corner of the square, peach blossoms, chrysanthemums, lilies, and orchids are displayed, decorated, blooming together, creating colorful streets and corners. The pink of peach blossoms, the yellow of chrysanthemums, and the orange of kumquats mixed with the cold weather are typical of the North every spring. Therefore, many people also feel excited and thrilled by this scene.

Ms. Lo Thi Anh Nhi - Muong Va Commune, Sop Cop, Son La: At this Son La Square, people have gathered many types of flowers for Tet such as peach blossoms and apricot blossoms. We came here to take pictures and choose Vietnamese traditional ao dai to preserve the traditional culture of the nation and also to promote to everyone to know more about the spring colors of Son La.

The flower market returns every year but never repeats itself. It is the magic of colors and fragrances blending with the atmosphere of the new spring. No one knows since when, going to the flower market has become a cultural feature of Tet holiday for Vietnamese people in general, and Son La in particular. People go to the flower market not only to choose a peach blossom branch or a kumquat tree but also to find moments of relaxation in their souls as well as hope for a warm and happy new spring.
