Vocational training, job creation - the door to the future

Students of Bac Kan College visit, study and experience at businesses outside the province.

As one of the main public training units of the province, Bac Kan College receives several hundred students each year. The demand for vocational training of the people, especially the young generation, is increasing. Currently, the school is training in a variety of professions such as agriculture - forestry, veterinary medicine, mechanics, cooking, civil electricity, industrial electricity... with levels from elementary, intermediate to college.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the school is organizing vocational training for 466 students from districts in the province. The training method is increasingly flexible, suitable for the choices of many students, can combine cultural studies and vocational training, or focus on specialized vocational training. This not only helps students shorten their study time but also quickly adapt to the practical requirements of the labor market.

Not only teaching, Bac Kan College also focuses on career orientation and job connection for students. The school organizes many practical activities such as: Job Fair, career orientation communication through video clips, images on website, fanpage, specialized programs on Bac Kan Radio and Television, direct consultation, leaflet distribution...

In 2024, the school organized many consulting and job connection programs with the participation of large enterprises such as: ICOGroup Corporation, EZ VietnamEducation Joint Stock Company, Son Dong Livestock Company Limited... Through that, students have access to recruitment information, are guided to exploit the job database, and learn about the domestic and foreign labor market. In addition, direct consulting sessions in the classroom, via phone, and social networks are also regularly conducted by the school, close to actual needs.

During their studies, students of the school are also sent to practice and intern at businesses in and outside the province, helping them improve their professional skills and industrial style. Thanks to these efforts, the rate of students having jobs or creating their own jobs after graduation is over 80%.

Not only in large schools, at the district level, vocational training has also undergone many innovations. Bach Thong District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center is a typical example. Over the years, the Center has proactively cooperated with schools outside the province such as: Vietnam-USA College of Technology, Central College of Technology and Medicine, Korean College of Technology, Food Processing... to open intermediate and elementary classes, better meeting the wishes of learners.

The short-term vocational class on growing and caring for vegetables in Nguyen Phuc commune organized by the Center for Vocational Education and Continuing Education (GDTX) of Bach Thong district is very suitable for rural workers.

Mr. Ngo Ho Nam, Director of the Bach Thong District Vocational Education Center, shared: “Vocational classes are largely based on the actual needs of students. Many people have been recruited by businesses after graduation, while others have chosen to work abroad to seek opportunities to change their lives.”

In addition, the Bach Thong District Vocational Education Center also organizes many short-term training courses in communes suitable for rural workers and people raising young children, such as vegetable growing techniques, poultry farming, food processing, etc. After the course, the students have gained more knowledge and skills to apply in production, boldly investing in developing household economic models. Typical examples include Mr. Cao Thinh Huu in Ban Ven village, Don Phong commune, or Mr. Dinh Kim Khue in Na Xom village, Cam Giang commune (Bach Thong district), who have successfully built large-scale livestock models with stable income.

It can be seen that vocational training not only helps workers improve their skills and access sustainable jobs, but is also an important solution to achieve the goal of poverty reduction and improving people's lives. Promoting the effectiveness of vocational training, closely linking schools - businesses - learners, will continue to be the "key" to opening a bright future for many workers in the province./.
