On April 25, in Hanoi , the French Embassy in Vietnam organized a meeting and exchange between businesses during the visit to Vietnam of Ms. Delphine Walh, General Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Normandy region (France).
Sharing at the program, Ms. Marie Keller, First Counselor, French Embassy in Vietnam, said that this event is a testament to the good relationship between Vietnam and Normandy, France, two lands that are both rich in cultural traditions and have dynamic and developed economies .
“Normadie has a strong and dynamic economy with industry as its spearhead. In addition, this is also a land that converges the quintessence of local specialties and agricultural products with a modern brand,” said Ms. Marie Keller.
According to the representative of the French Embassy in Vietnam, the Normandy Chamber of Commerce and Industry in general and Ms. Delphine Walh in particular have made many contributions to the economic development of the region as well as supported many businesses to improve their competitiveness and expand their business scope internationally.

“The Normandy region currently has more than 200,000 businesses and around 900 partners in various business sectors. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry has the task of supporting businesses throughout the process from start-up to growth,” said Delphine Walh, Director General of the Normandy Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During this business trip to Vietnam, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and three enterprises considered to be the “elite”, representing the outstanding fields of the Normandy region, wished to learn more about the needs of the market as well as partners in Vietnam in order to seek opportunities for mutual cooperation.

Also at the meeting, delegates exchanged and interacted with Mr. David Gallienne, a Michelin-starred chef and very famous in the French culinary world.
According to chef David Gallienne, right from the beginning of his culinary career, he began to nurture the dream of spreading and promoting the quintessence of Normandy cuisine as well as French cuisine to the whole world.
Sharing more about using Vietnamese agricultural products to innovate, based on the traditional dishes of the Normandy region, the French chef said: “This is not the first time I have come to Vietnam. During my previous visit to Ha Long Bay, I visited and shopped at a traditional market, then used my own experience to cook delicious dishes. It must be said that Vietnamese agricultural products as well as cuisine are extremely rich and bear the mark of the region.”
Chef David Gallienne also expressed his hope that during his business trip to Vietnam, he would be able to find some seeds of native spices such as coriander, basil, etc. to bring back to grow for his restaurant in France.
