Promote support for agricultural cooperatives to develop production and business

According to the Department of Cooperative Economics and Quality Management, the province currently has 3 agricultural cooperative unions and 685 agricultural cooperatives with 114,000 members.

Of these, 93/685 cooperatives apply high technology; 181/685 cooperatives participate in linking production and consumption of products for member households and 132 products of 83 cooperatives achieve OCOP products of 3 stars or higher, 387 cooperatives are classified as good and fair, accounting for 59.8%.

Head of the Department of Cooperative Economics and Quality Management Hoang Tien Cuong said: The goal for 2025 is to mobilize, guide and support the establishment of 10 new cooperatives, with good and fairly good cooperatives accounting for 60% or more, about 15% of cooperatives applying high technology; 30% of cooperatives participate in linking production and product consumption with businesses according to the value chain.

In the coming time, the unit will continue to allocate resources to support, encourage and facilitate cooperatives to develop production and business; apply science and technology in production; participate in production linkages associated with product consumption; prioritize investment in preliminary processing, processing and post-harvest preservation of agricultural products to improve product quality and value. In addition, continue to train and develop human resources in various forms for cooperatives; support cooperatives in digital transformation, digital agriculture development, circular agriculture , etc.
