(DN) - On the morning of July 18, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son had a working session with the Department of Education and Training (DET) and related departments and branches on the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of the year and directions, tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2025.

In the first 6 months of the year, the education and training sector has strictly implemented the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws on education and training. The work of nurturing, caring for and educating children has been effectively implemented.

The quality of general education has made positive changes, with 117 prizes won in the national excellent student competition in the 2024-2025 school year; the high school graduation rate in 2025 in the whole province reached 98.37%. The application of information technology and digital transformation in management and teaching has been promoted in an effective and practical direction.

Admissions for the new school year 2025-2026 have been given attention and direction by the Department of Education and Training since mid-semester 2 of the 2024-2025 school year. For admissions to grades 1 and 6, it is guaranteed to be completed in July 2025. At the meeting, the Department of Education and Training reported on difficulties, problems, recommendations and proposals for temporary guidance from competent authorities on the appointment and reappointment process for units under the commune level (including public education units).

Public kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools under the management of the People's Committees of communes and the Department of Education and Training will be subject to local regulations when recruiting. Therefore, relevant agencies should coordinate and provide guidance so that recruitment is carried out in accordance with regulations.
