In Ca Mau , the Ministry of National Defense coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway, the Dat Mui - Hon Khoai Port traffic route and the Hon Khoai dual-use general port.

The ceremony was attended by General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member and Minister of National Defense; Nguyen Minh Triet, former Politburo member and former President; Truong My Hoa, former Secretary of the Party Central Committee and former Vice President; and leaders of central ministries, branches and Ca Mau province.
The Ca Mau – Dat Mui Expressway is 92km long, planned to have 4 lanes. When completed, it will connect the trans-Vietnam expressway from Cao Bang to Ca Mau.

Along with that, the Dat Mui - Hon Khoai route is more than 18km long, with a scale of 4 lanes and Hon Khoai Port with a capacity of 20 million tons/year, receiving ships up to 250,000 DWT. The total investment of the 3 projects is nearly 100,000 billion VND, expected to be completed by the end of 2028.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, General Phan Van Giang affirmed his determination to carry out the project in “3 shifts, 4 teams” on schedule, ensuring quality according to legal standards and regulations, while applying advanced technology and ensuring absolute safety during construction.
* Also in Ca Mau province, T&T Group started construction of the An Xuyen a Mau social housing project, with a scale of 1,241 apartments, providing accommodation for nearly 5,000 residents, contributing to the province's goal of developing 4,800 social housing units by 2030.

* In Can Tho, the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group (Petrovietnam) started construction of the O Mon IV Thermal Power Plant, with a designed capacity of 1,155MW and a total investment of nearly 30,000 billion VND.
This is a key project in the Lot B - O Mon gas - power project chain, expected to generate commercial electricity by the end of 2028, providing a stable power source, improving the reliability of the regional and national power system.

At the ceremony, Can Tho City People's Committee and PETROVIETNAM also signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement. On this occasion, Petrovietnam donated 5 billion VND to Can Tho City's social security program.
* Also in Can Tho , the People's Committee of Can Tho City started the social housing project in the Trade Union Institutional Area in An Nghiep Industrial Park, with a capital of more than 870 billion VND and a scale of about 1,200 apartments, to meet the housing needs of workers and low-income laborers.

Notably, on the same day, the Ministry of Transport inaugurated Rach Mieu 2 Bridge, an important traffic project connecting Tien Giang - Ben Tre, contributing to reducing the load on the existing Rach Mieu Bridge and strengthening connectivity in the Mekong Delta region.
