In 2025, Foreign Trade University will enroll students in 4 ways. Specifically as follows:

1. Admission using high school academic results when meeting the school's quality assurance conditions

There are 3 groups with different criteria:

Group of students participating/winning prizes in the National Excellent Student Competition or National Science and Technology Competition.

The target group of candidates are students majoring in Mathematics, Mathematics-Information Technology, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, English, French, Chinese, Russian, Japanese at national key high schools/specialized high schools.

The target group of candidates are non-specialized students who won prizes (first, second, third) in provincial/city-level excellent student competitions in grade 11 or grade 12 (including subjects such as Math, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, English, French, Chinese, Russian, Japanese).

2. Admission using high school graduation exam results in 2025

The school divides candidates into two groups:

The group of candidates for admission uses the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam according to the school's combinations to participate in the admission process.

Candidates use a combination of 2025 high school graduation exam results and international language certificates

3. Admission using domestic and international competency assessment certificates

For standard programs (Note: Candidates applying for admission by this method can only choose to apply at 1 of the 2 campuses of the school: Hanoi Headquarters or Campus II - Ho Chi Minh City): applicable to candidates with domestic competency assessment certificates; Admission is based on the results of competency assessment exams organized by Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025.

For the Hanoi National University's aptitude test , candidates choose:
Part 3 – Science: Candidates are required to choose 02 fields: Physics and Chemistry to apply for standard programs except for standard programs in business languages.
Part 3 – English for admission to standard Business Language programs

For advanced, high-quality, career-oriented and internationally developed programs taught in English; high-quality business language programs: applicable to candidates with international competency certificates; Admission based on international competency certificates SAT/ACT/A-level combined with international Foreign Language certificates.
