During the last months of the year, the tourist atmosphere in Quang Ninh is usually less vibrant than in the summer, but there are still many unique events that attract the attention of many locals and tourists.
On October 25th, Binh Lieu district held the opening ceremony of the 2024 Culture and Tourism Week with the theme "Binh Lieu - The Festival Season," marking the beginning of a series of unique cultural and festival activities taking place throughout the remaining months of the year in the area. Notable events include: the Golden Harvest Festival, the Hoa So Festival, the Ethnic Minority Women's Football Tournament, the Dinosaur Ridge Mountain Climbing Competition, the "Flying over the Golden Harvest" paragliding festival, and experiences in traditional vermicelli making villages...
To ensure the success of the series of events, Binh Lieu district focused on directing the synchronized implementation of solutions to ensure security, order, and environmental hygiene. Specifically, the conditions and plans for tightening security and traffic order at the event venues were meticulously implemented, corresponding to the large number of tourists and local people coming to the area. Public awareness campaigns before and during the festival were carried out continuously in diverse forms, helping people raise awareness, behave civilly, dress appropriately, and act respectfully.
Thanks to thorough preparation, cultural events and festivals in Binh Lieu district over the past few days have generally been civilized and safe. Local authorities regularly conduct inspections and supervision during these activities, promptly preventing and strictly handling negative phenomena and violations. In particular, they prevent the exploitation of festivals and large gatherings to spread reactionary content, incite violence, or circulate illegal cultural products, superstitious practices, or organize disguised gambling. As a result, residents and tourists can enjoy complete experiences and deeply appreciate the beauty of the local landscape and culture. Binh Lieu district aims to welcome 250,000 visitors in 2024, leveraging its unique natural and cultural advantages.
Also in October 2024, Tien Yen district organized the opening ceremony of the Soong Co Golden Harvest Festival in Dai Duc commune, aiming to restore and promote tourism development at the end of the year. Many vibrant cultural activities took place within the framework of the festival, such as: folk singing exchanges and reenactment of the harvest prayer rituals of the San Chi ethnic group; spinning top competitions in terraced fields; rice pounding competitions, cooking Bao Thanh rice in clay pots, and displaying traditional feasts... The unique appeal of this event attracted a large number of people and tourists to the locality.
To ensure the safety of the festival, the Tien Yen District Police proactively developed plans and strategies, mobilizing police forces, local security forces, militia, etc., to continuously disseminate information, remind and guide people about safe travel, and prevent violations of the law. As a result, people and tourists generally complied seriously with the regulations of the organizing committee, avoiding crowding and congestion, ensuring traffic safety; and no serious violations occurred.
With a general orientation towards developing year-round tourism, many vibrant events will take place in localities throughout the province during the last months of 2024. Notable examples include the Tea and Flower Festival in Hai Ha district in October; the Uong Bi Golden Autumn program to promote the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiet Bac historical complex, linked with the Yen Tu Heritage 2024 race, expected to take place in December; and the Ha Long Bay Heritage Day program and the Flower Festival at Quang La Flower Paradise, also held in Ha Long City in December...
To ensure safety, the provincial police force has mobilized maximum resources, intensified patrols and controls, and implemented professional measures to prevent violations of the law, ensure order, smooth traffic flow, and prevent fires and explosions. However, each citizen and tourist also needs to equip themselves with a sense of civilized and safe behavior, and take responsibility for building and promoting a positive image of Quang Ninh's culture and people in the new era.
Quang Ninh province is aiming to welcome 19 million tourists in 2024, including 3.5 million international visitors. By the end of October, the province had received 16.8 million visitors, with an estimated over 3 million international tourists. In recent years, many organizations have chosen Quang Ninh as a destination for MICE (Meeting Incentive Conference Event) tourism – tourism combined with conferences, seminars, and events. This is due to its well-developed tourism infrastructure, with over 20,000 rooms in 1,380 accommodation establishments, along with 32 tour routes and 78 tourist attractions. Furthermore, MICE tourism is a highly profitable product line that attracts significant interest and collaboration from many Quang Ninh tourism businesses. |
