On May 29, expressing his opinion during a discussion at the hall about the report that the National Assembly's Supervisory Delegation had just presented on the mobilization, management and use of resources for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic; the implementation of policies and laws on grassroots health care and preventive medicine, Delegate Nguyen Anh Tri (Hanoi delegation) emphasized that Vietnam is one of the countries that has most successfully controlled the Covid-19 pandemic.

The delegate cited the most obvious example of success in mobilizing vaccine resources to vaccinate the people, including the vaccine diplomacy strategy and the rapid establishment of a vaccine fund.

“Thanks to timely and adequate vaccines, we have stopped the pandemic and saved people's lives. That is truly an invaluable resource for epidemic prevention,” said Delegate Nguyen Anh Tri.

Delegate Nguyen Anh Tri ( Hanoi delegation) participated in the discussion.

Believing that the recent pandemic is no different from a war and the people's contributions are enormous, Delegate Nguyen Anh Tri confided in his report that there are still many shortcomings, serious violations in epidemic prevention, and violations in areas where there are very few violations such as scientific research, acceptance, technology transfer...

According to Delegate Nguyen Anh Tri: "We agree that anyone who embezzles, is corrupt, or is embezzled in the fight against Covid-19 needs to be severely punished. However, we also need to consider rationally, emotionally, and fairly those who make mistakes without profiteering in order to promptly fight the epidemic and for the benefit of the community. This should be stopped soon so that society can be stable and officials can confidently perform new public duties," the Delegate expressed.

5th session, 15th National Assembly.

Delegate Nguyen Anh Tri suggested that the Ministry of Health pay attention to producing test kits and vaccines and that “Vietnam cannot be inferior to the international community, especially the countries around us”. Because test kits are needed for diagnosing and preventing many other diseases, especially emerging epidemics.

The National Assembly delegate from Hanoi also proposed to stop researching and producing Covid-19 vaccines in Vietnam because it is too late, and it is necessary to find a good type at a reasonable price to vaccinate the people.

Meanwhile, Delegate Nguyen Huu Thong (Binh Thuan delegation) emphasized that the pandemic shows the care of the Party and State for the health of the people. Through pain, we can see the love for humanity. However, the pandemic also shows more clearly the greed of some people, including those in power, who take advantage of loss and pain to collude to violate regulations and are severely punished by law.

The delegate recounted the feelings of a doctor who shared his feelings when the Provincial National Assembly Delegation went to supervise this topic and said that this is also the feeling of many other doctors.

Delegate Nguyen Huu Thong (Binh Thuan delegation) spoke.

“During the epidemic prevention process, the medical staff of the unit tried their best, encouraged each other to do everything possible to have medicine, oxygen, and biological products to save patients because human life is the most precious. At that time, society considered them heroes in white coats. However, after the epidemic ended, through the Viet A case and related cases, the task that took up a lot of time, mind, and effort of doctors and health managers was to write reports to explain to the authorities,” said Delegate Nguyen Huu Thong.

According to the delegate, when the doctor worked with the authorities, a member said: “First of all, thank you for saving my family in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. Without you, my mother, my child, and my family would have had a hard time surviving. But in the process, you did not follow the law, so we had to deal with it.”

"This doctor also thanks the Central Government for promptly issuing instructions on handling and differentiating subjects, so many cases do not get caught up in the law," Mr. Nguyen Huu Thong added.

Delegate Nguyen Huu Thong also raised another concern of medical facilities: how to repay medical supplies borrowed from businesses to treat patients during the epidemic. Businesses continuously demand payment but have no basis for repayment.
