On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), thousands of people from all over the country flocked to the Capital Center to learn about history and capture moments of Hanoi 's special occasion.

According to Dan Viet reporters, on the evening of October 10, thousands of people from all over the country were present in the center of the capital to welcome the special event.

Many people wearing red flags with yellow stars took to the streets to show pride and joy on the anniversary of the Capital Liberation.

Many families take their children to restored relic sites around Hoan Kiem Lake to better understand the nation's heroic history.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang (Hai Ba Trung District) said: “Today is the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital. Right after work, my wife and I took our two children to the Hoan Kiem Lake walking street to join in the joy and atmosphere of the Capital on this special day. As a son of the Capital, I feel proud of the heroic history of the nation.”

Children enjoy the crowded, fun and bustling scene at the walking street.

Ms. Nguyen Mai Linh (Dong Da, Hanoi) shared: “I am a teacher, all week I have seen the Capital bustling with celebrations for Liberation Day but have not had time to come here. Tonight, October 10, I took some time to take my children to the streets, firstly to join in the joyful atmosphere of Liberation Day, secondly I want to take my children to the streets to learn more about the heroic history of the nation”.

Young people happily took photos next to restored relics and learned more about the heroic history of our nation.

Foreign tourists are surprised by the cheerful scene, filled with laughter of people at Hoan Kiem Lake walking street.

Passing through the monuments, everyone happily looked at and recalled historical memories.

The 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital this year is an opportunity for each citizen to look back on the glorious history, growth and development of the Capital Hanoi.
