On October 5, at Phieng Khoai commune, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee coordinated with the People's Committee of Phieng Khoai commune and the Youth Union of the Ministry of Finance to organize a Mid-Autumn Festival with the theme: "Lanterns light up dreams". On this occasion, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education awarded 30 scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties, each worth 300,000 VND; Son La Provincial Youth Union awarded 5 televisions, 600 gifts, 200 cartons of milk, and 30 primary school backpacks to teenagers and children in the commune.

Phieng Khoai Commune Party Committee presented 22 gifts, worth 600,000 VND each, to especially disadvantaged villages; 30 gifts to students in difficult circumstances, encouraging them to continue to strive to excel in their studies.
