Here, more than 80 lantern works will be displayed. These creations are completely handmade with sustainable, environmentally friendly materials such as rattan, bamboo, do paper, natural earth colors... Not only the familiar star lanterns, shapes such as carp, shrimp, mantis, pomegranate... that were once very popular will reappear, combined with royal floral patterns, Dong Son bronze drums, Hang Trong paintings of To Nu... At the same time, Doan Thai Cuc Huong also brings into the works modern highlights such as the way of processing pearl powder, mollusk powder to make the surface sparkle or a richer color palette than before..., thereby opening up a dialogue between tradition and the present, between the heritage of our ancestors and a unique personal perspective.

Sharing her inspiration, Doan Thai Cuc Huong said that growing up in a carpentry family, she had deep and thorough exposure to traditional elements from an early age. The exhibition is not only aimed at adults who want to return to their childhood, but also at the younger generation so that traditional values can be revived, preserved and the value of Vietnamese handicrafts can be spread.

In parallel with the exhibition at Quang San Art Museum, Lam will also be held in Hanoi at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology from October 4 to November 4.
