Trang An Heritage Site wins Influential Destination Award

At the Kotler Awards 2024 ceremony on the evening of November 22, the world cultural and natural heritage Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex of Ninh Binh province was honored to receive the "Impactful destination" award.

Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Cao Tan - Deputy Director of Ninh Binh Province Department of Tourism said that in 2024, Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex had growth in revenue and number of visitors, especially there were positive changes in the consumption trends of tourists at Trang An World Heritage Site. The development of tourism has diversified economic sectors and helped the workforce have more choices for occupations that suit their abilities and qualifications.

Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh province is one of the destinations offering the 10 best travel experiences in the world voted by readers of the prestigious Trip Advisor website at the Travelers' Choice Awards Best of the Best Things to Do 2024.

2024 marks the 10-year milestone of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex becoming the first mixed cultural and natural world heritage site in Southeast Asia. This contributes to raising community awareness in preserving and protecting the cultural and natural values of the world heritage. This title also contributes to creating many sustainable jobs for the local community.

“The “Impactful destination” award is a worthy recognition for Ninh Binh province’s efforts in building its tourism brand with the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex as its core. The impacts of the Trang An World Heritage Site on the sustainable development of the tourism industry and the lives of local communities,” Mr. Tan shared.

Kotler Awards is a prestigious international award, with the purpose of honoring businesses and individuals who have made outstanding contributions and achievements in the fields of marketing - business, and strategic management.

This is the second year the award has been held in Vietnam .
