Regarding the COVID-19 epidemic situation today , the Ministry of Health said that from 4:00 p.m. on June 3 to 4:00 p.m. on June 4, the whole country recorded 468 infections, an increase compared to the previous day.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 11,615,051 infections, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories, while with the rate of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories (on average, there are 117,379 infections per 1 million people).
During the day, 48 more people recovered, bringing the total number of cured cases to 10,638,811. The number of patients on oxygen is 10.
The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,206, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.
Total deaths ranked 26th/231 territories, deaths per 1 million people ranked 141st/231 countries and territories in the world .
On June 3, 1,011 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were injected. Thus, the total number of doses of vaccine injected is 266,433,284 doses.
Previously, on the afternoon of June 3, at the 20th meeting of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control agreed to change COVID-19 from group A infectious disease to group B infectious disease, and at the same time issued guidelines on the application of COVID-19 prevention and control measures appropriate to group B diseases and recommendations of the World Health Organization to develop a Plan for sustainable control and management of COVID-19 for the 2023-2025 period in accordance with the new situation.
