The input quality assurance threshold (floor score) is the minimum score to be eligible for admission, not the admission standard score.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry: Some majors have a minimum score reduced by 7 points.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry officially announced the minimum scores for university and college admissions in 2025 for all admission methods.
Accordingly, the school's minimum score for this year's high school graduation exam results has decreased sharply in many majors, of which veterinary medicine has decreased by 7 points compared to last year (the school's minimum score in 2024 ranges from 16 to 22 points).
Dr. Tran Dinh Ly - vice principal of the school - said: "The floor score for the high school exam scores of the school this year in Ho Chi Minh City only determines one floor for each major. However, the two branches of Ninh Thuan and Gia Lai increased by 1 point in this method (last year it was 15 points)".
The methods are based on the 2025 high school graduation exam scores with a minimum score of 16 points or higher and no subject score below 1.0 (applicable to all school admission majors, except teacher training majors).
As for teacher training majors (agricultural technical pedagogy, preschool education), they will follow the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (expected to be announced on July 23).
These admission methods include: using the scores of three high school graduation exams for the admission subject group; combining the scores of two high school graduation exams + the score of one subject from the transcript for the admission subject group; combining the scores of two high school graduation exams + the converted international certificate to replace the English subject for the admission subject group.
The minimum score for the admission method using high school academic results (report cards) is 18 points or higher and no subject score is below 1.0 (applicable to all majors of the school, except teacher training majors).
Agricultural technical pedagogy and preschool education (university level): in addition to the above threshold, the learning results of the entire 12th grade year are assessed as good (academic performance is ranked from excellent or higher) or the high school graduation score is ≥ 8.0 points.
Preschool education (college level): in addition to the above threshold, the learning results of the entire 12th grade are assessed as good (academic performance is classified as good) or the high school graduation score is ≥ 6.5 points.
For the method of admission to universities and colleges in preschool education using high school transcripts, the score of each subject used in the admission combination is the average score of four semesters of the 11th and 12th grade years (from semester 1 of grade 11 to semester 2 of grade 12), rounded to 2 decimal places.
The minimum admission score is based on the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's 2025 competency assessment exam, from 601 points or higher (applicable to all majors, except teacher training majors).
Preschool education does not consider admission based on competency assessment test scores.
Compared to 2024, the floor score of the school's capacity assessment test score method has also decreased sharply (last year, the floor score of the majors at the Ho Chi Minh City campus fluctuated between 650-700 points. The floor score of the majors at the Ninh Thuan and Gia Lai branches was the same at 600).
The floor score applies to all admission methods for candidates in region 3, without priority based on subject.
University of Finance - Marketing: lowest floor score in 3 years
University of Finance - Marketing announced the entrance threshold (floor score) for regular university admission in 2025 for all majors at 15 points.
This floor level is the total score of 3 subjects in the admission combination from the 2025 high school exam, with no subject below 1.0 point (applicable to exam results according to the exam questions of the 2006 general education program and the current general education program).
Applicable to the following industries: real estate, financial technology, management information systems, accounting, auditing, international business, economics, data science, marketing, English language, economic management, tourism and travel services management, business administration, hotel management, restaurant and food service management, finance - banking, economic mathematics.
For the economic law major, the school requires an additional math score of 6.0 or higher (or math/literature ≥ 6.0 if both are included in the admission combination).
The above floor scores apply to standard, specific, integrated, and full English (internationally oriented) programs; regardless of admission combinations, without multiplying coefficients, rounded to 2 decimal places, not including regional and subject priority points.
Thus, the minimum score for the high school graduation exam this year decreased by 1-4 points compared to last year.
This is also the lowest admission score of this school in the past 3 years. From 2022 to now, the admission score of this school has always been around 16-19 points.
Floor score of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade: decreased by 1 - 4 points
According to MSc. Pham Thai Son - Director of the Admissions and Communications Center of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, the minimum score for admission based on high school graduation exam results for all majors of the school this year is 16 points (without coefficient, without adding priority points).
With the admission method using the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test scores, the minimum score is 600/1,200 points. For the law group, the minimum total score is 720 points (of which the minimum Vietnamese score is 180 points, and the minimum math score is 180 points).
The floor score of the specialized competency assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, the school takes the threshold of 5/10 points.
Thus, for the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the school's floor score this year in the technology and engineering group remains at 16. Meanwhile, the floor score in some majors in the fields of management, economics, services, law, information technology, and languages has decreased by 1-4 points compared to last year (the floor score last year was from 16-20).
In 2024, the minimum score for food technology, business administration, international business, accounting, banking and finance, information technology, English language, Chinese language, etc. is 20 points.
"The reason is that the high school graduation exam scores of candidates have decreased significantly, especially in math and English - two subjects that are in most of the school's admission combinations," Mr. Son explained.
Floor score of Ho Chi Minh City University of Science: reduced by 0.5 - 6 points
The minimum score for the 2025 high school graduation exam announced by the University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University) ranges from 16 to 24 points (including bonus points and priority points), in which the two majors of semiconductor technology and microchip design have the highest minimum score.
This score is equivalent to the school's 2024 score, but the floor score for many majors has decreased by 0.5 - 6 points. Notably, the floor score for data science last year was 24 points, but this year it has decreased to 18 points.
The minimum score for artificial intelligence, computer and information technology, computer science (advanced program) and information technology (English enhancement program) also decreased by 4 points, to 20 points.
