As a multidisciplinary university with a large number of students, Hung Vuong University identifies the work of developing the Party among students as not only a political task, but also a long-term strategy in training high-quality human resources to serve the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country. During the 2020-2025 term, 148 outstanding people were admitted to the Party, including 125 students. Notably, the student party members are all exemplary individuals, not only good at their profession but also active in the patriotic emulation movement and have won many awards from the Central Committee.

As one of the outstanding faces of Hung Vuong University in recent times, Le Thi My Hanh, a K19 student majoring in Nursing, has been honored to join the Party. Not only that, with her excellent academic achievements, Hanh was also retained as a lecturer at the school after graduating last June. Unable to hide her emotions and pride, Hanh shared that having this joy, she is always grateful to the teachers who have guided her throughout her years of study. Along with that, the days participating in experiences from Union and Association activities have also helped her mature. As for young party member Nguyen Thi Lan Anh, a K20 student majoring in Finance and Banking, who was admitted to the Party on April 28, she said that she is very honored and proud to join the Party. She promises to cultivate, practice, and study hard to become a good party member.

Ms. Kim Thi Hai Yen, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Hung Vuong University, said: During the past term, the Party Committee of the University issued two specialized resolutions on student affairs and developing party members among students, and a school-level research topic on the political maturity of students after joining the Party. This is a scientific and practical basis for adjusting and perfecting solutions for training and recruiting party members who are students.

From 2020 to 2024 alone, the school has organized 12 classes to foster awareness of the Party with more than 580 students, of which 87% achieved good or excellent results. The classes not only impart theoretical knowledge but also help students understand more deeply the role and mission of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the revolutionary cause.

In recent years, the Party Committee of Hung Vuong University has directed the Youth Union and Student Association of the school to proactively build the model of "Training to grow up - Striving to be in the ranks of the Party", associated with the program "5 Good Students", "Young Theory" Club, volunteer activities, humanitarian blood donation, epidemic prevention, protection of sea and island sovereignty, legal propaganda... Through that, the school creates a vivid practical environment to help students have the conditions to practice and assert themselves.

Dr. Do Khac Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal of Hung Vuong University, shared: The greatest success in the Party development work among students at the university in recent years is that the Party Committee has selected truly excellent students, both red and specialized. After graduating, many students have played their roles well, some have been appointed to management positions, becoming key cadres in agencies and enterprises.

However, the work of developing the Party among students at Hung Vuong University still faces many difficulties. The discovery and training of resources in some faculties is still limited; there are faculties that have not had any students introduced to attend training courses for many years. Meanwhile, the awareness of a part of students about political ideals is not deep, some students attend training courses but do not submit their applications, and lack determination. In addition, the criteria for evaluating outstanding union members are sometimes too focused on academic achievements and do not really pay attention to qualities, skills in organizing movements, and volunteering - necessary factors in party work...

During the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee of Hung Vuong University has proposed many practical solutions, notably the development of software to manage student records striving to join the Party, and the application of digital technology in monitoring and evaluation. The school strives that each Youth Union branch will introduce at least three outstanding members per year, and each faculty must build a model of "Outstanding students striving to join the Party" to be honored annually.

With enthusiasm, responsibility and determination to innovate, Hung Vuong University is gradually building a generation of students with both solid professional qualifications and political courage and noble ideals. Young party members who have grown up from the lecture hall are the seeds that contribute to building a clean and strong Party.
