History taking showed that after the accident, the patients had signs of chest pain, continuous difficulty breathing, and head injuries. After being admitted to the hospital, they were initially diagnosed with multiple injuries, pneumothorax, tachycardia, poor lung ventilation, etc. The hospital's doctors and nurses promptly performed initial emergency treatment and performed professional measures during the monitoring and treatment process.

Comrade Pham Van Man, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, directed the Provincial General Hospital to maximize its human resources and equipment to effectively implement professional measures. At the same time, continue to closely monitor the patient's condition to have a timely treatment plan.

As reported by Nhan Dan Newspaper, this morning, July 22, the main cable on the right side of the Pa Xa Lao suspension bridge suddenly broke, causing the bridge to collapse and become impassable. The Pa Xa Lao suspension bridge crosses the Nam Nua River, connecting Pa Xa Lao village to the villages of Pung Bon, Pa Thom, and Huoi Moi, in Thanh Yen commune, Dien Bien province.

Flood and storm response forces and local people promptly rescued 4 people (including 1 officer of the Economic Department of Thanh Yen commune, Dien Bien province, and 3 local people), provided initial medical care and promptly called an ambulance to transfer them to the provincial hospital.

The People's Committee of the commune has directed the commune police and militia to set up barriers and warning signs prohibiting people and vehicles from passing through the broken bridge area to ensure safety; at the same time, it has sent forces to guide and divert vehicles temporarily across the iron bridge in the area below, about 800m from the broken bridge location.
