Forum “Leadership with Vision”: Sustainable Development and Corporate Responsibility

(HTV) - Business forum "Leadership with vision" exchanges experiences in sustainable development and promotes corporate responsibility in Vietnam.

The European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) in collaboration with KPMG Vietnam and Merck Healthcare Vietnam recently organized a Business Forum with the theme "Leadership with Vision - Sharing Experience in Sustainable Development & Corporate Responsibility". The event aimed to discuss ESG (Environment - Social - Governance) trends, share practical experiences and affirm the role of businesses in the sustainable development process of Vietnam.

During the panel discussion, speakers focused on three main topics: long-term sustainability goals of businesses and reasons for choosing them, how to transform ESG goals into concrete actions, balancing business performance with environmental and social benefits, and corporate responsibility towards local communities.

Ms. Delphine Rousselet - Managing Director of EuroCham Vietnam, emphasized: "Accelerating the green transition and committing to achieving Net Zero by 2050 helps Vietnam maintain its dynamic economic position in the region. European businesses have always accompanied through clean energy projects, sustainable agriculture, green finance and circular economy, demonstrating the role of responsible partners. With more than 1,400 members in most fields, EuroCham is committed to continuing to accompany Vietnam, helping to promote sustainable development and corporate responsibility to become important hallmarks in the Europe - Vietnam partnership for many decades to come."

At the forum, Merck Healthcare Vietnam also presented the sustainable efforts and initiatives that the company has implemented over the years, bringing positive impacts to the community. Not only in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector, the company has also pioneered many sustainable development solutions, from meeting unmet medical needs, supporting the community, to implementing environmentally friendly operational solutions.
