Samsung's thinnest smartphone hits shelves

The new phone, called the Galaxy S25 Edge, comes in three colors: silver, black, and Titan Blue, with 256 gigabyte and 512 gigabyte versions. The starting price is 1,496,000 won (about $1,081).

On May 23, Samsung Electronics - the Korean phone manufacturing giant - launched its thinnest smartphone ever, the Galaxy S25 Edge, in the domestic market. This phone has a 5.8 mm thin design and weighs only 163 grams.

According to a VNA reporter in Korea, despite its slim design, the S25 Edge still has high-end photography capabilities on par with the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The device is equipped with a 200-megapixel wide-angle main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens to create a wide frame.

The S25 Edge brings together all the Galaxy AI-powered editing tools found in the S25 series.

The phone runs on the latest Galaxy-specific Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, Samsung's most powerful mobile processor to date.
