Twenty years – a journey
The "Golden Bell of Traditional Vietnamese Opera" competition on HTV is where many stage actors have risen to stardom, where traditional Vietnamese opera songs imbued with the love of the homeland have resonated and been loved by the public nationwide. From here, we have been training those who love their homeland and country, who are deeply committed to national art with all their simplicity and sincerity through their vocal style, singing and acting, and above all, their desire to preserve the standards of traditional Vietnamese opera.

A meaningful exchange program between the Golden Bell Vọng Cổ singing contestants and students from Binh Duong University.
A place to ignite passion.
The "Golden Bell of Cai Luong" competition is a place to ignite passion and continue the journey of preserving and developing Cai Luong for today and tomorrow.
Therefore, this year, HTV launched the competition with valuable experiential trips. On the same day, the organizing committee took 16 contestants to interact with soldiers from the Command of Naval Region 2, Brigade 167 in Ba Ria, Vung Tau.
The contestants participated enthusiastically. Contestant Phan Nhat Dang ( from Ca Mau ) said: "I was very moved when I sang the traditional folk song 'The Square-leaved Banyan Tree of Con Dao' as a gift to the naval soldiers at Brigade 167. I hope to have the opportunity to return."

Contestants Vuong Quan Tri and Phan Nhat Dang
Contestant Vuong Quan Tri said: "At Binh Duong University, I sang a medley of traditional Vietnamese folk songs to quiz the students, and I was thrilled when they all guessed the names of the songs correctly even though I only sang a few words."
Memorable atmosphere
The opening performance at Binh Duong University was a lively rendition of "Bac Bling Mashup Rap from the Southern Region" by students from Binh Duong University, instantly energizing the auditorium. The blend of modern dance and contemporary folk music created a youthful, vibrant performance that still reflected the cultural beauty of the people of Southern Vietnam.

The cultural performances in the exchange program at Binh Duong University were elaborately staged.
Following this, the contestants of "Golden Bell of Traditional Vietnamese Opera" successively brought overflowing emotions through excerpts from Cai Luong plays and traditional songs such as: "Meeting Place in the Homeland" (performed by Nguyen Tan Dat and Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Trang), "New Melody" (Tuan Kiet and Thu Ha)...
Answering the MC's question about how cải lương (Vietnamese traditional opera) has influenced her life, contestant Lê Phạm Thu Hà shared:
"Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) and the art of traditional folk singing are passions that run deep in my blood. Although I am pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine, I still follow and keep my passion for Cai Luong alive."

The meaningful gifts from the program were given to encourage the spirit of learning at Binh Duong University.
For contestant My Nhung, three times stepping onto the stage, she has faced challenges, from the initial tentative steps to honing her skills and resilience. My Nhung is an example of strength and unwavering spirit, of diligent training and perseverance after each failure.
My Nhung's story continues to ignite a passion for traditional Vietnamese folk singing in the younger generation, affirming that success only comes to those who constantly strive.
A message from artist My Nhung to the students of Binh Duong University:
"I wish you all unwavering faith every step of the way, and never give up. Persevere in pursuing your goals, because success only comes to those who constantly strive. And I hope that in the upcoming Top 3 of the 'Golden Bell of Traditional Vietnamese Music' competition, I will receive your support from Binh Duong University."
Interspersed between the spectacular performances, the program also featured exciting interactive mini-games. The "Vọng Cổ Surfing" game helped students gain a deeper understanding of cải lương (Vietnamese traditional opera) through quick questions about the "Golden Bell Vọng Cổ" competition and cải lương art.
In addition, the "Guess the Vọng Cổ Song" segment challenged students to identify songs through the lyrics sung by the contestants, with meaningful souvenirs awarded to the winners. In this segment, contestant Vương Quan Trí won the hearts of the student audience with his warm, powerful voice.
The event was also supported by SAIGONBANK, contributing to spreading the message of "mutual support and compassion" through the awarding of scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who always strive to excel in their studies and lives.
