Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated the Vietnam U22 team and the women's football team.

(NLDO) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has sent his congratulations to the Vietnam U22 team and the national women's team for their outstanding achievement in reaching the semi-finals of the 33rd SEA Games.

Immediately after the match on the afternoon of December 11th, through the President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Tran Quoc Tuan, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated the Vietnam U22 team and the national women's team on their important victories and their qualification for the semi-finals of the football tournament at the 33rd SEA Games.

The VFF President highly appreciated the efforts of the two Vietnamese national football teams in overcoming difficulties.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged the willpower, courage, and determination of both teams, and offered words of encouragement for the national teams to continue maintaining their form and aim for the best possible results in the next round. This is a tremendous source of moral support for the players and coaching staff in their journey to conquer the SEA Games 33 gold medal.

To promptly boost the morale of the teams, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan was present in Thailand and personally attended the women's team's match, in the context that both Vietnamese football teams were playing at the same time.

Speaking after the match, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan said that today was a very special day as both the men's and women's teams competed at the same time. However, it was joyful and happy that both teams successfully achieved their goals from the group stage.

The VFF President highly appreciated the efforts of both teams in overcoming difficulties and pressure to secure victories in crucial matches. The fact that both teams led 2-0 in the first half and took the top spot in the group is a very important factor for the subsequent calculations in the semi-final match.

Mr. Tuan also urged the Vietnamese national football teams to continue focusing on preparation and performing well in order to gradually achieve their goals.

The Standing Committee of the VFF Executive Board has decided to award 700 million VND to the women's national team and 600 million VND to the U22 Vietnam team for their achievement of reaching the semi-finals.
