Recently, the song "Say Một Đời Vì Em" (Say a Lifetime for You) has attracted significant attention, with conflicting information emerging regarding its authorship, copyright, and release process. Despite clarifying that she composed the song herself, Huong My Bong continues to receive negative feedback.
After listening to the song, singer Ngoc Anh 3A also confirmed on her personal page: "This song is not by AI. I will walk on my hands. Don't try to fool me like that!"
When VietNamNet reporters contacted Huong My Bong to learn more about the hit song " Say Mot Doi Vi Em" (Say a Lifetime Because of You) , she provided further information. At the same time, producer and arranger Ken Quach also spoke out.

Protecting copyrights, but more problems arise.
Huong My Bong shared with VietNamNet reporters that, immediately after refuting the information that "Say a Lifetime Because of You" was not composed by AI, she faced three major challenges.
Firstly, to prove herself as the author, she had to constantly prepare documents, supplement evidence, and present the creative process… A process that, according to Huong My Bong, "should have only required an author's commitment."
"I had to prove one simple thing: I wrote my own song. But because of unfounded suspicions that the work was created by AI, things became unimaginably complicated," she shared.
Huong My Bong said she prepared each original recording, each " musical DNA," each demo before and after using AI-assisted audio processing. As an amateur songwriter unfamiliar with the art world and technology, she described her current feeling as "disheartened and lonely."
Secondly , according to her, when the song went viral, a series of misinformation emerged, with many people claiming that AI was the author of the song. From there, many individuals arbitrarily exploited the song: performing, uploading, and even commercializing it without permission.
"Some people signed contracts to exploit my songs for third parties as if they were the owners. Some even pressured me to sign an exclusive rights transfer agreement for the song. I was truly shocked!"
Thirdly, some people extended invitations for private meetings, suggesting or hinting that if Huong My Bong collaborated on songwriting in the future, all problems would be resolved.
"Art should be decent. I didn't think that defending a song I wrote would require me to face such indecent suggestions and abuse of power," she said.
The author explains that he is the author, bringing very human emotions into the work: "The appeal of the song comes from two main elements: authentic lyrics and a subtle musical structure. Lines like: 'You are like a cloud drifting across the sky, while I am the one sitting and playing with my shadow... The pain cannot be named, only heard trickling through the cold night ,' are a very real experience, about the nostalgia of a broken heart because of a love affair with a younger person, now only my shadow and memories remain. The shadow here represents loneliness, the part of the soul left behind after a separation."
The author analyzes that many people mistakenly believe the song is arranged in Bossa Nova style, but in reality , "Say Một Đời Vì Em" (Say for You for a Lifetime) is a hybrid: the soft rhythm evokes Bossa, the bass and beat lean towards modern Rumba/Bolero, and the way the phrasing and emphasis are entirely based on the writer's genuine emotions. As a result, the song is modern, nostalgic, and relatable, suitable for a wide range of listeners.
One detail revealed by Huong My Bong: the intro of the song was inspired by the classic Latin-Rock style of Hotel California (Eagles - 1977): "I listened to that guitar intro over and over again. It opens up a very cinematic, very realistic space. I wanted my intro to have that same appeal. The initial demo used electric guitar to maintain a gritty, wild spirit. However, producer Ken Quach suggested switching to saxophone to bring a softer, more feminine, and elegant feel."
"I just hope the audience understands that this song was written from the heart. This song is a memory, a wound, a rebirth for me. It's not a product of a machine. I'm only speaking out to protect my spiritual child," she affirmed.
Producer and arranger Ken Quách speaks out.
Along with the sharing from author Huong My Bong, producer and arranger Ken Quach has released a series of clarifying information to put an end to misunderstandings related to the creation and release of the song.
Ken Quách affirmed that "Say một đời vì em" was entirely composed by Hương My Bông, both the music and lyrics. He only participated in the arrangement and production of the audio and video recordings and received full payment as agreed upon between the two.
"I didn't contribute anything to the songwriting. It's all Hương My Bông's," Ken Quách emphasized.
According to Ken Quách, at the time the arrangement was completed, Hương My Bông remained anonymous, did not use social media, and did not intend to release the song. Because he liked the song, he uploaded it to his YouTube channel but forgot to credit the author, leading to the audience misunderstanding who the song's owner was: "This was my oversight. I take responsibility for this oversight."
When the song went viral, many singers and journalists contacted the author wanting to meet her. However, Huong My Bong refused to appear for fear of causing a stir, requesting that Ken Quach not reveal her real name or identity, and only provide minimal answers. "I did exactly as Bong requested. Bong didn't want any fuss, and I respected that," he said.
Ken Quách said that Hương My Bông refused almost all singers who wanted to cover the song, but in the case of singer NV - who loved the song so much and earnestly asked for permission - he tried to persuade Bông.
"After agreeing to share contact information, Bong and singer NV spoke privately, and then Bong allowed the male singer to make a cover MV. From there, many problems arose, putting Bong under great pressure and forcing her to speak out. I am at fault for begging Bong. I did not sell the song, transfer ownership, or license it to anyone," Ken Quach emphasized.
Ken Quách added that Hương My Bông is a "fragile, innocent girl, not tech-savvy and inexperienced in the entertainment industry, hoping that the audience will understand and respect the true author."
"Say a Lifetime for You" sung by AI features a female lead voice that is actually the author's voice processed by the AI.
