The MV with AI voice posted on YouTube channel Ken Quach from August 8th to now has reached more than 15 million views. Many artists also covered the song such as Nguyen Vu, Anh Quan Idol, Phan Dinh Tung, Minh Thu, Ha Nhi... making Say mở tđơ i vi em even more popular.

However, many newspapers, news sites as well as some artists mistakenly believe that Say mot doi vi em was composed by AI. That is the reason why Huong My Bong spoke up.

Huong My Bong shared that she completed Say mở mot đò i vi em in May; initially, the song was titled Men sa y , with the first recording in female voice.

The author said: "If you read carefully and think about it, readers will understand that AI cannot have such rich abstract associations and experiences, emotions that are both real, painful, and deep."

She said that when the song was first released with AI voice on August 8 on Ken Quach channel, it was named after two authors Ken Quach - Huong My Bong.

Because Huong My Bong is anonymous, does not use social media much, and the first version posted on the channel has the AI Music Box logo, the public misunderstood that this was an AI product or Ken Quach's. "Ken Quach only participated in the arrangement and music production, not in composing," Huong My Bong explained.

She affirmed: "The entire composition including melody, lyrics, notation and original melody recording were all written and recorded by me with my real voice. After completing the composition, I found my friend Ken Quach to arrange and produce the audio version according to the melody I sent."

Ken Quach also signed to transfer all copyrights of the arrangement to Huong My Bong on September 11. He also sent an email and had a record confirming that he was not a co-author and did not dispute the rights.

AI cannot create the soul of a song

Talking to Tuoi Tre Online , Huong My Bong said that AI is a very supportive tool in modern music, helping composers, especially non-professionals , to realize their works faster, experiment with color, rhythm, voice quality... which previously required a whole crew and studio.

"But AI cannot create the soul of a song by itself, it only operates based on data, and emotions, memories, pain, love, brokenness... all the things that make a song can only come from humans," she said.

For the author of Say mot doi vi em , AI only accounts for a very small part in the recording performance, while 100% of the lyrics and melodies are written from her personal experiences.

Talking about why she didn't invite a real singer but let an AI singer perform, Huong My Bong explained that Say mot doi vi em was born from her very private experiences.

"When I finished composing, my emotions were still intact, even quite fragile. I wasn't ready to let any singer perform the song, because I was afraid that someone else's voice color could cause the emotional story to deviate from the original spirit," she said.

According to Huong My Bong, using AI simulated from the original voice recorded before was a safe and suitable choice at that time. AI helps create a complete demo, with the right spirit and emotional rhythm without having to ask or wait for anyone. This is a way to "keep the emotion" of the work as soon as it is completed.

The author commented that AI has many advantages: singing the right melody, keeping a stable beat, reproducing a voice color close to the original recording, but AI cannot replace a real singer. AI does not breathe like a human, does not have memories, does not have real emotional vibrations.

"For me: AI is a very good support tool, but the soul of the song still has to come from humans," she said.
