
After directly inspecting the International Broadcasting Center (IBC), Thailand's Minister of Tourism and Sports Atthakorn Sirilathayakorn affirmed that it was in a state of "absolute readiness", capable of meeting the workload predicted to be the largest ever for a SEA Games.
Mr. Atthakorn revealed that this year's opening ceremony is designed to be a stage to showcase the potential, creativity and identity of the Thai people.
The show will be a fusion of art, music , technology and folk culture, performed by internationally acclaimed Thai artists.
The opening ceremony will include five main performances, each expected to bring memorable moments to the audience.
The five acts include: a journey to find the origin of the SEA Games, arousing the passion for competition, demonstrating cultural solidarity, demonstrating the spirit of sportsmanship and honoring regional friendship.
One of the highlights of the ceremony is the appearance of BamBam - a globally famous Thai-origin K-pop star. In addition, artists F.Hero, Tong Twopee and Thai-origin Belgian singer Violette Wautier will also participate, creating a vibrant music party at Rajamangala Stadium.

In the sports performance section, Muay Thai legend Sombat Banchamek will demonstrate the unique techniques of this martial art that is deeply rooted in the identity of the people of the land of golden temples.
Not only that, 11 Miss Thailand will take on the role of holding signs to guide 11 sports delegations from countries in the region during the parade, contributing to highlighting this solemn moment.

Sharing the message he wanted to convey through the opening ceremony, Minister Atthakorn said that Thailand wanted to convey the image of a happy country, ready and playing a central role in the ASEAN region.
The opening ceremony of SEA Games 33 will take place at 7:00 p.m. on December 9 at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok (Thailand).
