In the years before deciding to stop acting, Tung Duong had many health problems. The actor had congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathy, ventricular premature contractions, irregular heartbeats, and skipped beats. He had been hospitalized for a heart attack. Because of this disease, for the past 3-4 years, despite receiving several invitations, he has not participated in any more films.
"For the past few years, due to my heart disease's unfavorable progress, I have not been able to act in films anymore. In general, I have retired because my health is not good enough. If I have the energy, I will stay home and write scripts," Tung Duong once shared.
