Renovation and upgrading of Thong Nhat Park.

The total area of renovation is about 48 hectares, of which the water surface area is 16.5 hectares. Implementation period is from 2023 to 2026.

Previously, at the end of December 2022, nearly 400 meters of fence on Tran Nhan Tong Street was removed to create an open space connecting to the walking street around Thien Quang Lake.

Thong Nhat Park is the largest park in Hanoi with an area of over 50 hectares, located between four streets: Tran Nhan Tong, Le Duan, Dai Co Viet and Nguyen Dinh Chieu. The fence system has been invested in and renovated over many periods with a total length of 2,160 m and 7 entrance gates.

The City People's Council also agreed on the policy of renovating Bach Thao Park (about 148 billion VND) and Thu Le Park (330 billion VND). Bach Thao is located in the political center (Ngoc Ha Ward, Ba Dinh District), so the fence will be kept. Thu Le Park has a zoo, so it will be renovated in the direction of both opening and closing (there will be a fence in the toll area, the rest will be fenced off to create an open space).

According to the plan, in the 2021-2025 period, Hanoi will upgrade and renovate 45 existing parks and flower gardens (out of a total of 63); urge investors to speed up progress and complete parks such as Chu Van An (project 2 - architectural works), CV1, Kim Quy, Phung Khoang, the park of the Southwest Hanoi urban area and the cultural - entertainment and sports park of Ha Dong district .
