Do Hoang Hen emotionally spoke Vietnamese at the naturalization ceremony

On the morning of October 17, at the Hanoi Department of Justice, Brazilian midfielder Hendrio Araujo Da Silva officially became a Vietnamese citizen with the new name Do Hoang Hen.

The ceremony to grant the naturalization decision took place solemnly, with the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Justice , Hanoi Department of Justice, Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department, Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Hanoi Club and relatives of the player.

Wearing the traditional ao dai, Do Hoang Hen emotionally sang the national anthem and performed the flag salute ceremony before receiving the decision to become a naturalized citizen.

Sharing in clear and sincere Vietnamese, he said: "I am very happy, proud and grateful. I love the country and the Vietnamese people. Now, I am officially Vietnamese and desire to devote myself to Vietnamese football. I will make constant efforts to be worthy of everyone's trust, contributing to Hanoi Club and the national team."

VFF representative, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau - Deputy General Secretary, sent his congratulations to the new Vietnamese citizen: "We are very excited that Vietnamese football has a new member. Congratulations to Do Hoang Hen - who is now a part of the big Vietnamese football family. Hope he continues to show his professionalism and dedication, and soon bring practical contributions to the club as well as the national team."

The representative of Hanoi FC also affirmed that Do Hoang Hen’s naturalization is a testament to the team’s long-term development vision. The club not only recruits good players, but also accompanies and supports those who truly want to stick with and contribute to Vietnamese football.

Since arriving in V-League, Do Hoang Hen has quickly established himself as one of the outstanding foreign players, with intelligent playing style, sophisticated technique and high ability to create breakthroughs.

According to the plan, Do Hoang Hen will have his debut match as a naturalized player when Hanoi FC welcomes Ninh Binh in round 7 of V.League 2025/26 on October 18. A new chapter in the 29-year-old player's career and also a beautiful story about the journey of integration and dedication of a person who loves Vietnamese football with all his heart.
