Within the framework of a working trip to Belarus at the invitation of the Head of the Working Group of the National Assembly of Belarus on cooperation with the National Assembly of Vietnam, on October 8 (local time), the working delegation met and had a discussion with Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Belarus Igor Petrovich Sergеуеnko.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Vietnam - Belarus Friendship Parliamentarians' Association Nguyen Tuan Anh expressed his pleasure to lead the delegation to visit and work in Belarus; sincerely thanked the leaders of the House of Representatives, the Standing Committees of the House of Representatives and the parliamentarians for their warm welcome; and highly appreciated the attention and support of the Belarusian side for promoting cooperation between the two countries in recent times.

The two sides agreed that parliamentary cooperation is an important channel in the overall Vietnam-Belarus strategic partnership, contributing to strengthening political trust, promoting people-to-people exchanges and expanding cooperation in many fields. Cooperation between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Belarusian House of Representatives has developed very well in both bilateral and multilateral frameworks.

Deputy Chairman of the Delegation Affairs Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh thanked the Belarusian House of Representatives, the Speaker of the House of Representatives personally, and the deputies for supporting the promotion of the strong development of the cooperative relationship between the two countries as it is today.

The Deputy Chairman of the Delegation Affairs Committee emphasized: Vietnam is implementing many innovations, including the arrangement and reform of administrative units and the implementation of a two-level local government model, which places high demands on legislative work and policy making.

To further strengthen the cooperation between the two Legislative Bodies in general and the specialized Committees in particular, the Vice Chairman of the Delegation Affairs Committee suggested increasing delegation exchanges, exchanges and contacts between parliamentarians, especially young and female parliamentarians between the two countries. Further promote the important bridging role of parliamentarians of the two countries in promoting people-to-people exchanges, business cooperation and cooperation between localities.

At the same time, continue to promote cooperation, exchange and experience sharing between specialized committees, including the Committee for Delegation Affairs; promote the important role and coordination in perfecting institutions and policies, building a legal corridor to support businesses of the two countries to expand cooperation and investment in each country... Promote the signing of a cooperation agreement between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the House of Representatives of Belarus to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation activities between the legislative bodies of the two countries, including the Committee for Delegation Affairs of Vietnam and specialized committees of the House of Representatives of Belarus, creating favorable conditions for the two sides to carry out bilateral and multilateral cooperation activities.
