The delegation of Tay Ninh Department of Science and Technology worked with the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City

On September 15, 2025, the working delegation of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) of Tay Ninh province, led by Ms. Huynh Thi Hong Nhung - Director of the Department, along with representatives of the leaders of the departments and affiliated units, had a working session with the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City at the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Startup and Innovation (SIHUB). Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Le Thanh Minh - Deputy Director of the Department and leaders of specialized departments and offices.

During the working program, the two sides exchanged information, introduced an overview of the functions, tasks and operations of each Department in the past time, especially in the fields of science and technology task management, science and technology potential development, support for innovative enterprises, as well as initial results in digital transformation and implementation of key local programs and projects. This activity helped the two sides better understand the potential and needs for cooperation, creating a favorable foundation for implementing specific coordination contents.

The two sides agreed to continue to coordinate to maintain and improve the operational efficiency of the Technology Exchange, forming a network linking the components of the Southeastern region's science and technology market with the Ho Chi Minh City technology exchange, in order to support the connection between supply and demand, commercialize research results, promote technology transfer and modernize technical infrastructure, serving the development of the region's science and technology market.

In particular, the two Departments emphasized the importance of cooperation in implementing innovative models in the public sector associated with digital transformation. The focus is on models in the fields of health, education and public administration, with the orientation of applying digital technology, artificial intelligence, big data to improve the quality of public services, build innovative digital government, develop smart cities and manage agriculture and environment based on data. This is considered a necessary step to improve the effectiveness of inter-sectoral coordination, shorten work processing procedures, reduce duplication and increase social trust.

The two sides also discussed and agreed to strengthen cooperation in innovative start-up activities, human resource training and the development of specific policies to encourage businesses to research, innovate technology and digital transformation. The focus is on coordinating training and education for businesses, connecting "Startup Space" between the two localities, connecting expert networks, and coordinating research, dissemination and application of scientific and technological results from institutes and schools in Ho Chi Minh City to the development practices of Tay Ninh province.

The working session took place in an open and cooperative spirit, demonstrating the common determination of the two localities in combining resources, promoting advantages, building a regional innovation ecosystem and promoting digital transformation, contributing to improving competitiveness, promoting sustainable socio-economic development in the new period. In the coming time, the two sides will continue to review and identify specific cooperation contents and move towards signing a cooperation agreement for synchronous and effective implementation, ensuring compliance with the practical development needs of each locality./.
