Introducing the general structure, functions, and activities of the Provincial People's Council; the geographical location, potential, advantages, and socio-economic development results of the province, he emphasized: Ninh Binh is the land of the Ancient Capital, once the capital of the first centralized feudal state of Vietnam, associated with 3 dynasties: Dinh Dynasty, Tien Le Dynasty and Ly Dynasty for 42 years (from 968 to 1010). Ninh Binh has the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex - the only mixed World Cultural and Natural Heritage in Southeast Asia, which is assessed by the Director General of UNESCO as an exemplary model, typical in the world in promoting the global values of World Heritage, harmoniously combining environmental preservation, preserving traditional cultural values with developing tourism economy, ensuring the interests of people, businesses and the State.

After more than 30 years of re-establishment of the province, the Party Committee, government and people of Ninh Binh province have united, made efforts, promoted the potential and strengths of the locality, especially the historical, cultural and revolutionary tradition values, Ninh Binh has had rapid and relatively stable development. The economy has continuously maintained good growth, the total budget revenue in the area in 2023 reached over 16,431 billion VND, becoming a province with self-balancing budget, with regulation on the central budget. The economic structure has shifted positively, with agriculture as the mainstay, industry as a breakthrough for development, tourism as a spearhead economic sector.

Currently, the province is focusing on implementing strategic goals and tasks according to the Provincial Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister (in Decision No. 218/QD-TTg dated March 4, 2024), striving to basically meet the criteria by 2030 and by 2035 become a centrally-run city with the characteristics of a millennium heritage urban area, a creative city; a large center with high brand value in tourism, cultural industry, and heritage economy of the whole country and the Asia-Pacific region.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council hoped that through the working session, Ninh Binh and Hubei provinces would further foster and develop their cooperative relationship in many fields, especially in the economic, cultural and social fields in the coming time. At the same time, he hoped that the Hubei delegation would be a bridge of information to potential partners and investors of Hubei province to learn about the potential, strengths and investment environment of Ninh Binh province.

Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality of the leaders of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Liu Xiaoming, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hubei Provincial People's Council, congratulated the important achievements that Ninh Binh has achieved in the past time. At the same time, he affirmed that this is a very good opportunity for the members of the Working Group to learn more about the historical value, natural landscape, beauty of the land and people of Ninh Binh; as well as to exchange more operational experiences between the Hubei Provincial People's Council and the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Council. The Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hubei Provincial People's Council informed about the geographical location, historical and cultural values, strengths in socio-economic development, investment attraction and viewpoints on foreign affairs; provided and exchanged more information related to the activities of elected bodies, policies on agricultural, industrial, cultural and social development of Hubei province. Through this working session, he sent an invitation and hoped to soon welcome delegations from Ninh Binh province to visit and work with Hubei province in the near future.

In the spirit of openness, solidarity, friendship, cooperation and sincerity, the two sides exchanged and shared experiences on the activities of elected bodies in issuing specific mechanisms and policies in the locality; the development orientation of the province in the coming time; solutions to promote and improve the effectiveness of cooperation and friendly exchanges in the coming time, especially in areas where both sides have strengths. The two sides believe that in the coming time, the cooperation between the People's Council of Ninh Binh province and the People's Council of Hubei province will achieve many important results, contributing to bringing the friendly cooperation between the two Parties, the two countries and the two peoples to continue to have new developments.

* Within the framework of the visit and working program in Ninh Binh province, on the afternoon of June 28, the delegation of Hubei province, People's Republic of China led by Mr. Liu Xiaoming, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Hubei Provincial People's Council, visited and worked at Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company.

Accompanying the delegation were comrade Hoang Van Kien, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council ; leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Working at Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company, the delegation listened to the company's leaders report on the process of formation, development and production and business situation.

Accordingly, the Company has been established and developed for 69 years. Up to now, the Company has built a closed production model according to the value chain from agricultural production, processing and exporting vegetables and fruits. The Company is one of the leading vegetable and fruit processing units in the country with 3 large processing centers in Ninh Binh, Gia Lai and Son La with a processing capacity of 136,000 tons of products/year. Products are exported to more than 50 countries, mainly concentrated in the European, Korean, Japanese, Israeli markets... Of which, the Chinese market accounts for 12%. In the first 6 months of 2024 alone, the Chinese market accounted for 50% of the export market for the Company's soft drink products.

Currently, the Company has established and managed main raw material areas with an area of over 8,000 hectares in Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, Quang Tri, Nghe An, Thai Binh provinces... The Company is creating jobs for 3,350 workers, of which ethnic minority workers account for 30%.

In the process of agricultural production and cultivation, the Company applies many technical advances and high technologies such as: automatic irrigation, plastic film, and focuses on organic production, using microbial fertilizers. Therefore, input vegetables and fruits have high productivity, good quality, meeting the strict requirements of international customers.

At the meeting, members of the Working Group and the Company's leaders discussed and clarified the results of recent export activities, the market development plan in China; difficulties and obstacles in the process of exporting goods to the Chinese market; advantages in quality and price of the Company's current export products... At the same time, the Working Group provided more information on the agricultural production situation, cooperation issues of enterprises in Hubei province and suggested a number of industries and fields for Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company to study and cooperate in the coming time.

Before that, the delegation visited the production activities at the fruit and vegetable processing factory of Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company.
