From 2009 to 2023, the City People's Committee has regularly directed the serious and effective implementation of directives and resolutions of the Central and the province on ensuring traffic order and safety. The City People's Committee has proposed to the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Transport, and the Provincial Police to consider supplementing funding sources for the city to carry out urban beautification and upgrade urban infrastructure according to the criteria of a type I urban area; allocating funding sources from fine revenues to the City People's Committee to carry out maintenance work and ensure traffic order and safety; continuing to invest in installing traffic surveillance camera systems; regularly maintaining and repairing national highways and provincial roads; directing the police of neighboring districts to strengthen inspection and control of the situation of teenagers driving erratically and weaving in and out of traffic in the area; equipping the City Police's traffic safety force with vehicles, professional equipment, and support tools to serve the work according to the set standards...

Concluding the monitoring session, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Ma Thi Thuy acknowledged and highly appreciated the report on the implementation of policies and laws on ensuring traffic safety in the city that had been prepared. Especially the City Police, despite having a small force and a large workload, the unit has performed well the tasks and targets assigned by the industry.

He requested that the supervised units continue to supplement and complete the contents, data, and recommendations in the report to send to the Supervisory Team for synthesis, research, reflection, proposal, and specific recommendations to competent authorities and functional branches for consideration and resolution.

The city needs to strengthen, diversify and innovate forms of propaganda and dissemination of regulations to all classes of people, raise awareness of compliance with traffic safety laws, skills for safe traffic participation and some other important contents.
