On the afternoon of October 4, the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City offered incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at Hang Keo and Hang Duong cemeteries and Con Dao Temple.

On the afternoon of October 4, within the framework of the Con Dao Book Fair 2025, the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City led by comrade Duong Anh Duc, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at Hang Keo and Hang Duong cemeteries and Con Dao Temple.

The delegation included comrades: Truong My Hoa, former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President ; Le Hoang Hai, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Secretary of Con Dao Special Zone; Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; and leaders of the city's departments, branches and sectors.

In the sacred atmosphere at the "red address" of the Fatherland, delegates respectfully offered incense and flowers to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.

Within the framework of the Con Dao Book Festival 2025, the incense offering activity further highlights the meaning of gratitude and spreads the historical and cultural values ​​of the sacred land, which used to be a "hell on earth" but has now become a space to preserve memories, nurture love for the homeland, and arouse the desire to contribute in each citizen, especially the young generation.

Con Dao Book Fair 2025: Spreading historical values ​​and reading culture

From October 3 to 5, 2025, the Con Dao Book Fair with the theme "Legend of Con Dao" will take place at the Welcome Gate of Ton Duc Thang Street, the grounds of the Public House and Ton Duc Thang Park, Con Dao Special Zone. The event is organized by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, chaired by the Department of Culture and Sports , in coordination with publishing and distribution units and local authorities.

The book fair aims to affirm the role of books in connecting the past - present - future, at the same time welcoming the 1st Congress of Ho Chi Minh City Delegates (2025-2030) and celebrating the 73rd anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnamese publishing, printing and book distribution industry. This is also an opportunity to promote the image of Con Dao, stimulate tourism and contribute to raising the position of Ho Chi Minh City.

The opening ceremony took place at 7 p.m. on October 4 with the art program “Poems that shape the country”. Over the course of 3 days, the book fair gathered many major publishers, introducing thousands of books. The exhibition areas were designed with the theme of President Ho Chi Minh; achievements in the development of Ho Chi Minh City; legendary figures, history of Con Dao; along with exhibitions and new book launches.

In addition, many exchange activities, seminars and social programs will be held, along with the donation of more than 2,500 books, gifts, scholarships and equipment to support students in difficult circumstances in Con Dao.
