Warm "Zero-VND Meal" in Con Dao Special Zone

On September 21, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City attended the program "Free meal - warm military-civilian affection" organized by the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Con Dao Special Zone (Ho Chi Minh City) in coordination with the Defense Command of Zone 6 - Con Dao Special Zone.

Also attending were leaders of several medical facilities in Ho Chi Minh City, leaders of Con Dao special zone and more than 150 policy households and families in difficult circumstances.

At the program, the leaders kindly visited, encouraged and had a friendly meal with more than 150 people. The simple but emotional meals contributed to bringing joy, warmth and added strength for the people to rise up in life.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Vu Van Luan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Defense Command of Region 6, the “Zero-VND Meal” program aims to help people in difficult circumstances, while demonstrating the connection between the armed forces and the people. The warm and meaningful meals are not just a meal, but also carry a message of care and responsibility of local Party committees, authorities, officers and soldiers towards the people.

As a person who came to Con Dao from far away to do business, Ms. Hua Thi Cam Giang, resident area number 5, shared that the meal was very delicious, with full dishes, and the soldiers served very enthusiastically and thoughtfully.

Speaking at the program, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc highly appreciated the idea of implementing the "Zero-VND Meal" of the units in Con Dao special zone. Thereby, it shows the concern and care of the local Party Committee, government and armed forces for policy families and disadvantaged households through practical actions, contributing to further tightening the solidarity between the army and people on the remote island.

The Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee expressed his belief that in the coming time, leaders, cadres and soldiers in Con Dao will have more good initiatives and excellently complete the political tasks assigned by the Party and State.
