Accordingly, the landslide is 225m long, from Mr. Phan Thanh M.'s household to Mrs. Le Thi D.'s household. This is identified as a dangerous landslide area, with the risk of directly affecting people's lives and property.
Previously, on October 23, when the tide rose, it completely broke a 15m section of the dike surrounding the Thanh Long sandbank area. In addition to the main landslide, there are two other dike sections that are in a critical condition, at risk of further landslides: Section 1, 210m long, adjacent to the broken location, has now eroded, the remaining part is very thin; Section 2, 317m long, about 200m upstream from the landslide area, is identified as the point that needs urgent reinforcement.

Without timely response, the landslide could continue to expand, causing flooding about 2 meters deep, directly threatening 6 households with 23 people living in the area.
Faced with the above situation, the Provincial People's Committee directed departments, branches and local authorities to urgently deploy response measures: put up warning signs, delineate dangerous areas, notify people not to go near landslide areas; at the same time monitor geological developments to have timely handling measures.
Quoi Thien Commune authorities were assigned to coordinate propaganda and mobilize people in dangerous areas to evacuate to safe places; to count and report damages according to regulations. Specialized units will conduct surveys, assessments, and propose engineering and non-engineering solutions to handle landslides, ensuring the safety of residential areas and production areas.
