Due to the impact of large waves combined with high tides of storm No. 13, embankments and coastal roads in many localities of Quang Ngai province were damaged.

In Long Phung commune ( Quang Ngai province), high waves broke the embankment, cracking and washing away a 200m long coastal concrete road. The entire area was deeply gouged, many pieces of land collapsed into the sea.

Mr. Ngo Van Thanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Long Phung Commune, said that this road connects three villages: An Chuan, Ky Tan and Vinh Phu. "Currently, the area is seriously eroded, making it very difficult for people to travel. The commune has put up barriers, posted warning signs and is requesting higher authorities to support urgent repairs," Mr. Thanh said.
