Workers' Solidarity - Implementing the Resolution

(QBĐT) - With the theme "Workers' Solidarity - Implementing the Resolution", the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) has developed a plan to implement activities for Workers' Month 2024 with many rich and diverse forms and activities. This is also an opportunity to arouse the tradition of solidarity and creativity of the Vietnamese working class in performing the task of socio-economic development; promote the interest and care for the material and spiritual life of union members (FMCs), workers (WMCs) of the entire political system, enterprises and society.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Vo Van Tien said: “Workers’ Month takes place from May 1 to May 31. This is also the peak month for trade union activities. In order to organize practical and effective activities at the grassroots level, directly serving union members and workers, the Provincial Federation of Labor focuses on promoting activities to best care for union members and workers in difficult circumstances, associated with many exciting emulation contents in union levels. Activities in Workers’ Month are associated with the activities of the Month of Action on occupational safety and hygiene (OSH); celebrating International Labor Day (May 1), President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19)...”.

With the content and program of activities such as: "Bringing the congress resolution into life", "May Dialogue", the Provincial Federation of Labor and all levels of the Union focused on propagating and mobilizing union officials, union members, and workers to make efforts and determination to bring the resolutions of the union congresses at all levels into life. All levels of the Union promoted activities of visiting and giving gifts to union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances; supported the construction of "Union Warm House" for union members who do not have a house or are living in temporary houses.

The grassroots trade union (CĐCS) in the enterprise will propose and coordinate to organize the forum "Workers for enterprises, enterprises for workers" for employers to meet, exchange, dialogue, listen to union members and employees propose ideas and solutions to improve labor productivity, develop production and business. Thereby, propose solutions to ensure jobs and income for employees in a sustainable manner. To organize the program "Thanking employees", the union at all levels will mobilize social resources and employers to organize gratitude to union members and employees who have achieved achievements in labor production, have many contributions to agencies, units, enterprises...

Workers' Month 2024 is also a peak period for trade unions at all levels to develop unions and establish grassroots unions. In addition to promoting propaganda and mobilizing workers to raise awareness and voluntarily join trade unions to organize the "May Union Batch", trade unions at all levels focus resources, create a breakthrough in developing unions and establishing grassroots unions, especially in non-state enterprises. Based on the results achieved from patriotic emulation movements, trade unions at all levels organize to honor and commend exemplary union members and workers.

Through that, continue to mobilize union members and employees to compete, promote initiatives, improve techniques, innovate working processes, promote research and application of science and technology, promote pioneering roles and responsibilities to accompany enterprises to promote production and business development and work efficiency.

“The Provincial Federation of Labor has also directed and guided all levels of unions based on the practical situation of the industry, locality, agency, unit, and enterprise to effectively organize and integrate the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health in 2024 with the programs and activities according to the plan of the Provincial Federation of Labor. Based on actual conditions, the direct superior union at the grassroots level will advise and propose the heads of Party committees and authorities to meet and dialogue with union officials and workers, civil servants, and employees to address the legitimate needs and aspirations of union members and employees. For grassroots unions, they will coordinate with employers to organize forums, creating opportunities for employers and employees to work together to overcome difficulties, contributing to promoting the building of harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations in enterprises. In order for union members and employees to fully feel the spirit of International Labor Day 1/5 and the meaning of Workers' Month, the industries, localities, "Agencies, units, enterprises and trade unions at all levels need to focus all resources to respond to Workers' Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health to ensure efficiency, quality and progress," emphasized Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Vo Van Tien.
