Expressing his joy and confidence in the Congress, Mr. Phan Minh Hue (former staff member and lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport) assessed: This is a very innovative and meticulously prepared Congress, which has received strong support from the people. In 2025, the world experienced many unexpected changes, and the country also faced many difficulties due to natural disasters, but thanks to unity and solidarity, we quickly overcame them. Most recently, the Quang Trung Campaign was successful, demonstrating the will of the Party and the aspirations of the people.
As a Party member with 40 years of Party membership, Mr. Phan Minh Hue hopes that during the upcoming Congress, delegates will discuss and review all that has been done in the past and frankly point out areas where implementation is still "insufficient," thereby striving to overcome these shortcomings to develop the country. A new feature of this Congress is the draft Political Report, which integrates three reports (Political Report, Socio-Economic Report, and Report summarizing Party building work); politics, socio-economics, security and defense, and Party building are inseparable. Our Party is the ruling party, providing comprehensive leadership.
Mr. Phan Minh Hue expressed his confidence: "With a spirit of self-reliance, self-confidence, self-sufficiency, self-strength, and national pride, and with the help of international friends, we will overcome difficulties to develop the country. We have the Party, the State, the people, and the armed forces; there is no difficulty we cannot overcome. 2026 is the Year of the Horse, wishing the 14th National Congress of the Party "great success."
Having lived and worked in Vietnam for many years, Mr. Dinh Vinh Cuong (a Vietnamese expatriate in Japan), Chairman of 365 Group, Chairman of Yamato Express, and Chairman of the Vietnamese and International Business Club, has witnessed the country's dramatic transformations. Mr. Dinh Vinh Cuong expressed his confidence that the 14th National Congress of the Party would be a great success, electing a leadership team with strong character, strategic vision, and high responsibility, and simultaneously issuing groundbreaking policies and decisions to create a more favorable environment for entrepreneurs, overseas Vietnamese, and citizens to contribute effectively to the overall development of the country. Overseas Vietnamese always look towards their homeland and hope that the Party and State will continue to improve policies related to residency rights, citizenship, investment, and property ownership, thereby helping overseas Vietnamese feel secure in their long-term commitment and investment in Vietnam.
"As the country enters a new era, I hope that the 14th National Congress will make strategic decisions to attract and effectively utilize the resources of overseas Vietnamese, especially the global intellectual and business community, contributing to Vietnam's rapid and sustainable development in the coming time," Mr. Dinh Vinh Cuong expressed his expectations.
Paying close attention to the content of the report at the opening session, where General Secretary To Lam continued to affirm that the private economy is the most important driving force of the national economy, Mr. Lu Nguyen Xuan Vu, General Director of Xuan Nguyen Group and Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association, expressed his excitement and confidence in the success of the 14th Party Congress; at the same time, he placed great expectations on breakthroughs in orientation, content, and policies that will be adopted at the Congress.
As a businessman representing the voice of Ho Chi Minh City's business community, Mr. Lu Nguyen Xuan Vu hopes that the Congress will continue to strongly affirm the spirit of developing the private economy – a policy already outlined by the Party in its resolutions. The recent economic resolutions are very correct and insightful, clearly demonstrating the Party's concern for the goal of making the people prosperous and the nation strong through economic development.
As a Party member, Mr. Lu Nguyen Xuan Vu also expressed his hope and belief that this Congress will select leaders with integrity and vision, who prioritize the interests of national development. These leaders need to pay more attention to creating a favorable and transparent business environment for enterprises; continue to reform administrative procedures, and shorten processing times to enable businesses to operate more efficiently. While many administrative procedures have been streamlined in the past, businesses still hope this process will be further accelerated, especially in areas requiring rapid development. The simpler and more transparent the procedures, the more favorable the conditions for businesses to expand production and operations. Businesses also want to expedite the implementation of policies, particularly those encouraging private sector participation in key sectors.
Mr. Lu Nguyen Xuan Vu stated that the business community hopes for clearer and more practical mechanisms so that private enterprises are not only beneficiaries of policies, but also partners and collaborators with the State in the process of national development. In addition, the Party and State continue to strongly promote Vietnamese agricultural products, enhance their value, help farmers sell their products at better prices, and thereby improve their livelihoods.
“I hope that the upcoming policy mechanisms will create conditions for harmonious development between the state-owned, private, and foreign-invested sectors; while also paying more attention to domestic raw materials, helping to enhance the position of Vietnamese agriculture and bringing practical benefits to farmers,” Mr. Lu Nguyen Xuan Vu shared.
