On July 24, the Indian Navy ship INS Delhi led by Rear Admiral Susheel Menon, Commander of the Indian Navy's Eastern Fleet, docked at Tien Sa port, beginning a 3-day friendship visit to Da Nang city (from July 24 to July 27).
The welcoming ceremony at Tien Sa port was co-chaired by representatives of the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs and representatives of the Navy Region 3. Also attending were representatives of the City Military Command, the City Border Guard Command, the Foreign Affairs Department - Military Region 5 Command, representatives of the Foreign Affairs Department ( Ministry of National Defense ) and the Navy.

The visit of the Indian Navy ship to Da Nang City contributes to strengthening the friendly relationship and mutual trust, in line with the policy of promoting Vietnam - India cooperation. Especially in 2026, the two countries aim to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam - India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (2016-2026).

During the visit, the group of officers and ship commanders paid courtesy calls to the leaders of Da Nang City People's Committee, Military Region 5, and Naval Region 3; the Indian Navy ship also welcomed Vietnamese delegations to visit the ship; officers and sailors of the ship played volleyball with officers and soldiers of Naval Region 3; and visited local culture.
